Confused about this game...

I'm interested in TBCB, but I'm confused.

I know that there is a role playing aspect to the game that is to be released in the future, so please realize that my questions are not based on that mode.

Is this game a straight simulation of existing boxers or is it also a career based simulation? Basically, am I only pitting boxers against boxers and just watching the results or am I able to control one boxer over the length of this career?

Am I the promoter, the owner of a federation, a trainer, or a boxer?

Do boxers get old and retire and do new ones enter the ranks?

You don't have to answer those questions in that order. That's just my thought process. I guess I'm curious to know if this game is more like OOTP (career based without the Role Playing aspect) or DMB (single season based).

I'm not entirely interested in just simming fights just to see who would win. I rather there be a reason to the fights. I can't explain it well, but I'd like to know that through a "career" there is a living and breathing boxing enviornment that I am simulationg and not just exhibition fights that tally up for my records.

Any info would be greatly appreciated since I am considering purchasing this game if it is what I am looking for...

Yankeee this game has alot of flexibility. Its sort of like OOTP in that respect. Many people have created defined universes with champions etc. I'd reccomend checking out some of the links for what some people have done in creating their universes. Go Yanks.
