weight differences
Hey,
Can anyone tell me exactly what ratings are affected when a fighter moves up to square off against guys from a bigger weight class? And do the ratings only undergo one adjustment or are they tweaked for every class they pass through. In other words, will my light heavys be penalized twice for fighting heavys (since they skipped through the cruisers)? Thanks Beekman |

no one really knows the exact formula for which ratings are effected when a fighter moves out of their original weight class.
I can tell you they are effected EACH time they move a division. So in your example your fighter would be affected twice for moving from L heavy to Heavy. Hope that helps Dean |

I did a test today with copying a boxer and then move him one or two weight classes lower and let him fight against himself. The results:
Heavyweight vs cruiserweight .757 winning percentage (1000 fights) Heavyweight vs. lightheavyweight .898 winning perc. I listed the attribute changes between the various career stages here: What does changing career stage do to ratings? 6th post and I assume that those same attributes are modified when moving between weight classes. |
