How do you determine "Stage of Career"?
With the retired fighters that you use in the boxing universe that you create, how do you determine what stage of their career each fighter is in?
For example, a retired fighter had a career that lasted 15 years. What proportion of that time is considered "beginning", "pre-prime", "prime", "post-prime" and "end"? Is there some kind of mathematical equation that you use to determine this? Eg. Beginning 20% (3 years) Pre-Prime 20% (3 years) Prime 20% (3 years) Post-Prime 20% (3 years) End 20% (3 years) |

I think it depends on what you want to do with your universe. I suppose if you had a timeline universe you could do it by when the boxer made his debut and determine it from there. Your example looks workable as well. I like to see prime vs prime in my universe as i have it structured. I created a universe where chronoligical time doesn't exist type of thing, sorta like field of dreams except with fighters.

Timeline & Career
what you did works, but if you don't want all of your fighters to have 15 years or 50 fights you could be flexible. Some fighters have 5 fight careers while others go over 100. You could use a guideline like:
Fights 1-10 beginning 11-19 pre prime 20-40 Prime 41-50 past prime 51-up end. I'll start a good fighter with 10 easy fights and then step him up in class. If he does well he goes to pre prime. After another 8-10 fights I'll step him up again, if he does well, I'll move him to a prime rating. I look at each fighter individually. If he's winning I'll move him up. If he loses I may give him a few easy fights and then step him up again. It's your world to control.
