Chuvalo - Foreman interview

George Foreman was in Toronto today pushing his "big man" clothing line through the Sears stores and was on the Fan 590 for an interesting interview along with George Chuvalo.

Regarding the fight between them, Chuvalo felt the fight was stopped too soon...after taking a number of good shots he said he had "just started punching back" when the ref stopped it. Foreman said he was glad it was because he was "running out of gas" and wasn't sure how much longer he could have gone.

Chuvalo said he was at a show one time and met up with old boxing foe Doug Jones at the urinal and said "Doug, you had a great left hook on the inside" to which Jones replies "and you had a great right hook to the cohonies!"

I always wished Chuvalo had gotten better training or gudiance from someone like Cus Damato-I think he would have been world champ.

That's typical. The sports media up here really sucks up to American athletes.
