Roy Jones Jr.
It's over people...I think any puncher can now beat him as his chin is shaky and his speed has diminished just enough to now be hit...all in all I think he was incredible albeit against rather "weak" opponents...what say you all...

Wow! I gotta say I've never been a fan of Roy's but I always respected his immense talent. It is really evident that he has nothing left. Time to get out, he's got the money and he's a hall of famer. Get out Roy with the melon still intact.

As is the case with boxers who rely on their speed and reflexes, once those traits begin to deteriorate they become hittable. Roy is 35. Not old, but slower nonetheless. I thought he looked horrible tonight. He looked sluggish, slow afoot, couldn't keep Johnson off him. I still waited for the RJ one punch KO to come, it just came the other way.
Too bad, I've been a big Jones fan since the Olympics and it hurts to see him go out like that. I'd like too see Tarver fight Jirov @190. Last edited by Bronx Bomber 15 : 09-26-2004 at 01:43 AM. |

He just turned old it happends, But again u cant deny the wins he have over hopkins and toney and ruiz, but i think he should do one more fight against a nobody someone who won 1 fight and came all the way upfrom 115 and leave the game, lmao But foreal that punch was behind the head A, And B he hit his head on the canvs 2 or 3 times like a ball, lol If he do fight he should go to HW lmao why? i know ur dumb erick, but hW;s cant deal with his speed but one punc can change everything, im beging to think Rj is doing this on purpose, im sorry in round 4 he mand handled johnson and johnshon could barley walk back to his corner, i think roy is doing this so when he fights a Hw people will really have him as a underdog, but hey whatever he does RJ has been good for boxing and i wish him the best.

...and Johnson is a tough customer who shouldnt be taken lightly...Roy might have been better off fighting Tarver tonight, I think he could of pulled it off...I mean he was a step slower,,,but in the end it was Jones' unwillingness to kill, instead of be killed... |

If Johnson KOd him. Just imagine what Spinks, Matthew Saad, or Braxton would have done to him.
