Rebuttal on "Poor Customer Service"
"Your customer support for Title Bout is really poor. I have asked about 5
times for the correct "prime" version of Lennox Lewis. Why not give the customers Joe Louis at age 50 and Muhammad Ali at age 6? Come on, this is supposed to allow you to pit the top fighters against each other. Clearly your company doesn't care about customer service." I'm not going to fly into a rabid defense of whether or not our "customer service" is as pitiful as the above quote makes it sound, I'll simply state that we certainly do care and most of you who have been with us realize that. Specifically addressing the requests for a "prime" Lennox Lewis, we will be providing one. However, several times we jumped the gun and created a "prime" version for a fighter, only to have him return to the ring within six months to a year after his official retirement. Mike Tyson is a prime example but there have been others. Lewis appears to be firm about remaining retired and God Bless him if he does avoid the lure of coming back. Felix Trinidad also seemed to have absolutely no intentions of returning to the ring either; however, rumor is he'll be in a mega-fight very soon. Trinidad retired before Lewis and we haven't issued a "prime" set of ratings for Trinidad. Why would Lewis be an exception? We have a logic behind our actions and I hope this clarifies them. I do apologize if somehow five requests were made and ignored. When I make time to peruse the boards, I cut back on the design time for TB2 and TBRP. When I get wrapped up in the design process, I neglect the boards. I'll try to do better. |

correct me if I am wrong... but isn't there already a retired and "prime" version of Lewis? It came out shortly after he retired... I believe his prime rating is 10.

Badguy I don't download and use other people's fighters they have created. Your right Lewis always was in the game as retired. Maybe Jim should play his own game a little sometime on the other hand he could be waiting like us for a patch Only joking with the patch comment Jim -- honest i just could not resist that one ![]() |

I personally don't see a problem of leaving a retired fighters retired ratings alone if he happens to return. With very few exceptions, most retired fighters that do return to the ring are not close to their prime (case in point Riddick Bowe). A returning fighter should be re-rated on their current abilities. When they re-retire we still have their prime ratings on file, and just simply ignore their ending ratins.
If I'm not mistaken Mike Tyson is rated twice: retired with prime numbers; and, active with current activity numbers. Ditto for Tito after we see him in action against Mayorga. Thats my opinion for what its worth.

this prime lewis has getting alittle out of hand, damn is Jim Bert sugar now? Its your game make your own prime lewis whats so hard about it? If you need some tapes on lewis then go to the site cube put up last month, its not like we need a prime jack johnson where we might not know how the guy fights and his style but this is a guy who just fought in 2003! Everytime someone retires are we gonna bitch and moan for a patch for him? Do you know how bad i wanted a Deion sanders for my madden? I just had to create him and move on!

wildhawke11,
i never download those user rated fighters either. no offense to the the great efforts, but i trust Jim and Tom, and I dont feel the need to "disrupt" the games proven success and realism. btw, Lennox Lewis IS in the game... and he must have come from OOTP, because like I said... I dont download fighters from anyone else, including cornerwork
