Old Man needs Help Please

First of all i am far from an expert with computers just know the basics.
Normally i can get by with putting stuff into sub directories and down loading and opening files, or for example downloading pics of fighters and putting them into the right folders, anything i have ever downloaded i have had no problems putting into the game.

I want to download a couple of fighters that Jofre and another chap has created. I tried to put them into the default date base fighters dir, but they wont go in there. I even tried opening the downloaded file with notepad, open office.org, all i seem to get is 100s of little boxes. I even tried winzip.
This is they way i tried to put the downloaded file into the game.

programs
ootp
TBCB
data
default
fighters

Could some kind soul talk me through it in very simple terms -- leave nothing out please Or do i start the game Title Bout and do it through the game itself. Hope i have not confused all - but hell this aint boxing
Thanks From Danny

Danny, in the OOTP program file go up to file and hit "new" and "folder." Rename the new folder "Imported" and then download the files to that folder.

Then open the game and go to the "fighters" tab and click the "import File." When the file opens go to your "Imported" folder and click the files you want downloaded. Click open and it will bring the file into the game.

Let me know how you make out.

Thanks so much it must have taken me all of two minutes

Now where do i apply to get a job at Microsoft

I have not really looked at your rating in depth but a quick glance tells me its near the mark because i just wanted to get here quick and thank you.

I Think your De La Hoya might for certain top a bill tomorrow. Its 1.53 here in UK and i need a bit of shut eye now.
Thanks Again

Danny, I'm glad it worked so quickly for you. I know how frustrating these programs can be.
