Tszu-Mitchell

I don't get showtime, can somebody post some fight details when this one finishes.
I like Sharmba to give Kostya problems coming off the layoff

Thanks

The ring size is 22x22...which would favor Mitchell in my opinion. Both look confident!

They just finished walking into the ring.

When the on the outside, Mitchell controls the fight.....when they are in the inside...Koysta controls. Cut on the bridge of the nose of Tszyu due to a head butt.

Round for Mitchell 10-9

Rd 2:

Mitchell knocked down by a left right....1:20 left in the round. Tszyu is landinf hard shots....mitchell is trying to counter him and actually landing pretty well....but it rocked by a shot to end the round.

Round for Tszyu 10-8

ROUND 3:

Mitchell knocked down again 30 seconds into the 3rd round. Mitchell made it up by 8. Man....Tszyu looks GOOD!! Mitchell knocked down again iwith 30 seconds left.....ref asks if he wants to continue...he says yes...Tszyu jumps on him and he is swamped. At 2:48 of the 3rd round the bout is stopped.

Tszyu is a winner by 3rd round TKO

Showtime is trying to hype Vivian Harris vs Kostya Tszyu because during the post fight interveiw, Jim grey brought Harris and Manny Stewart into the interveiw.

Looked like Mitchell just never recovered from that first shot he took. Never had his legs back under him.

I just can't figure out why Mitchell chose to stand in front of Tszyu from the opening bell. The first half of the first fight should have taught Sharmba how effective lateral movement is against Tszyu . . . and the second half should have taught him how dangerous it is to slow down.

Anyway, Tszyu proved again that even with the injuries & layoffs he's the force to be reckoned with in the division.

Well done to Kostya Tszyu, great effort. Mitchell came to fight, but as has been previously said, he didn't recover from the first big shot.

Shane.

Can't figure it out myself, either. It seemed liek a no brainer. Don't stand right in front of him, don't get hit by that straight right. Got to wonder how his trainers prepared him.

Great performance by Tszu, though. Nearly two years out of the ring and he looked like it didn't effect him at all. Maybe even did him some good as he said after the fight.

Any consensus on who Tszu should fight next?

Its like what Hatton said after the fight (he was guest on our boxing show), Mitchell should have either got in close, or got out of range. Hatton commented that Sharmba just stood in medium range, which is exactly what Tszyu thrives on. I agree with Ricky on this. Also Mitchell didn't move as much as we expected. His speed and movement was his main chance of winning but there was a big lack of both to be fair. Take nothing away from Tszyu though, what a great performance, better than ever. That right hand is devastating. I just hope Kostya will agree to fight Hatton and vice versa. That would, in my opinion, be a fight of the year contender in 2005.

Hi Guys,

Tszu's left hook looked pretty good as well. He rocked Mitchell at least twice with it. Thats the shoulder he had operated on and kept him out of the ring. He may have added a new weapon to his arsenal.
