I KNOW he will win. Let me think about this question for little bit, so that I can put it into the right words. It's already in my brain, just gotta translate it now. At the moment, I am in no condition to write a lengthy "theory"... I have taken about 12 Vicodins... and the world is looking very different right now...LOL!

Holyfield is way past his prime (he is not 65% of his top-self) - But that goes without saying (I know) - But still needs to be said -
We will be able to tell within the first 3 rounds if Holyfield has a shot - After three rounds does he look tired? (If so, he is done) - Is he putting together combonations (not combo's like in his prime....5 or 6 shots at a time....but at least quick 1,2, 3's ) - One of the big problems for Evander now that goes along with his age is simply injury while fighting - (joint, legament, rotary cuff, etc, type injuries that happen because of age while trying to throw continual punches) - I love Evander to death - He is no doubt in my mind a top-5 HW of all-time. In his prime on any given night he could have beat anyone. With that said, I think for Evander to win he needs to TKO Donald. He needs to be able to show some reflexes and be able to fire when Donald is in range (Evander hasn't shown the ability to fire off shots when needed since Moorer II) - I mean he did okay Vs Lennox II and with Rachman....but he still was slow to get off punches a number of times in both those fights (even though he won both!! - He was jobbed big time Vs Lennox in the second fight). |

I agree Meade95. Like I have said many times on this board.... the decision in the 2nd Lewis fight was nothing more than "revenge" for the way the first fight turned out. I just recently downloaded Holyfield-Lewis II, and I turned down the volume... and after 3 times of doing that, my score is exactly the same... for Evander Holyfield! You could tell immediately that the HBO commentators were bias! Holyfield clearly won the first round (among several others)... and Harold Lederman gave the round to Lewis!!!! He had Lewis in trouble at LEAST 3 times during the bout and he was the aggressor throughout. If the judges had given the decision to the actual winner.... Holyfield would more than likely NOT be fighting this weekend. He would have retired as the undisputed champ.

Holyfield was usually better rematches. He was usually able to make the adjustments needed. Jim |
