Questions from someone new.
Hey folks, I just downloaded the game and was wondering if anybody new the answers to the following questions.
1. Why does Ricardo Lopez have a rating of 3? 2. Is there an updated Roy Jones file to reflect his diminished ability to take a punch in light of his recent KO defeats? 3. How can I get my hands on a Lightweight version of Shane Mosley instead of the blown up Junior middleweight version? Is there a way to select the division of the fighters? 4. If you don't use the adjust for weight class difference option how does it work? Does the game take into account that fighters within divsions were of different size? For example, Jose Luis Castillo is a very big Lightweight while, Floyd Mayweather is a smallish Junior Welterweight, so if they fight, Castillo may be bigger than Floyd even though he fights at a smaller division. Jack Dempsey is listed as a heavyweight, but he only weighed about 190 (Cruiserweight), so if I put him in against, say, Cruiserweight Wayne Braithwaite, should I use the option or not? Thanx, and Sorry to be a bother Len Last edited by mrchallenge : 12-13-2004 at 03:03 PM. |

When simulating Roy Jones fights, you might want to click on the "career stage" option and choose "post-prime" or "end." I think the latter is more accurate. On the Dempsey thing, I fight him as a cruiserweight anyway. Contrary to most on this board, I believe a guy who fights at 190, whether it be now or a 100 years ago, is a cruiserweight. Therefore, when fighting him as a "heavyweight" against "cruiserweight" Braithwaite, I would not click on the option, "adjust for weight class difference."

It's no bother, glad you joined!
I can answer some. 1. I don't recall seeing a "3" version of Lopez. That's very low for the type of fighter he was! 3. I might have an old version of Shane as a LW in my old game. If I do, I'll post those stats. 4. No, I don't think the game takes size into account. |

The game does take size into account - though in an indirect way - Via the values of CF, DEF (mainly) and perhaps even somewhat one could tweak for size through the END rating - Last edited by meade95 : 12-13-2004 at 07:32 PM. |
