I'm now consistently able to connect to Boxrec from the PC at my office (daytime), but never from home (at night). Anyone else have a similar problem? Does TB force some behind-the-scenes caching of the IP address?

At first I thought maybe the guys at Boxrec were keeping the site up during the day and taking it down at night to work on the switch to the new server. That's still a possibility, but I think it's more wishful thinking.

No, TB does nothing with the IP address or cache or whatever, it start only the standard browser, loading a certain URL, which can be changed in the Game Options.

Andreas,

Thanks for the quick reply. Bottom line is, I can't even open boxrec.com from my browser when TB isn't running. Strange situation.

Do you enter www.boxrec.com? It needs the "www." now - I believe it worked w/o it on the old server.

Yes, I tried it with the 'www'. I've even tried the IP address, which I got via ping'ing www.boxing.rec from my office. But from home, where I have TB installed, still nothing. Crazy.

Angry

I can no longer access box rec. I have the www.boxrec.com.
I am using the address that has the hagler in it. Is this still the
correct one.

Bogie,

Keep trying both of them. At the minute Boxrec's "Hagler" server [http://boxrec.com] is not working, while the old address [http://www.boxrec.com], while very slow, will let you in.

It's been working fine for a few days now. Just a note about a trick that sometimes works when the server is down.

Enter the boxer name and boxrec in a Google search. You can get into a particular record that way even when the server is on the fritz.
