Terry McGovern Missing Opponents Fighter Pack
Hi Guys,
Here as promised is the Terry McGovern Missing Opponents fighter pack covering 21 files including McGovern rated at Bantam, Feather and Lightweight. The pack includes such luminaries as Frank Erne World Lightweight Champion. I will now go onto George Dixon. rgds Dean |

I have some of these guys rated in my universe but I am going to use your ratings since I don't test mine at all ... I just basically guess and go. The first one I looked at was Billy Barrett ... I had him as a 1, you had him as a 6. I decided to keep their histories but change their ratings.
Barrett currently is 1-9-1, it'll be interesting to see if he can turn it around. Kinda gets me even more interested in my universe, thanks again. |

Barrett was a good little battler who held some wins and draws and also went the distance with a great level of competition such as Dixon, McGovern , Solly Smith, Tommy Sullivan, Harry Forbes, and Patsy Haley amoung others.
One of those fighters who is far to good for for most fighters but not quite having enough for the cream of his division. In my fighter packs I very rarely rate the real tomato cans or 1's as their are far too many good quality fighters of the period still not rated in the game. Remember that boxings divisions were far deeper than they are now so there are a ton of fighters in the 3-8 rating range still not included. I even find great fighters such as Holly and Erne not yet rated which just goes to show how little of the 1880-1930 era is covered. Still, getting there slowly lol. Onto Dixon!!!! rgds Dean |

There were a couple I didn't have, I switched to your ratings on most ... Herrera we had pretty even but you had him with more power, so I changed that ... Thanks again
It'll definitely help out my universe. Barrett and Bernstein are primed to make a storming comeback!!!!! |

Sounds good .... I will put together a list this weekend. I don't usually even look at it until year's end.
I keep fighter files from the board in a seperate file until I end my year and then import them. Then I search for fighters who started in that year or before. I try to make sure I have at least 4 fighters in each weight class, if I don't I go to boxrec to find enough to fill and create those guys. I'll make a list and any help would be appreciated. Thanks Dean. |
