Merry Christmas and a big thank you!
I just can't adequately tell you all how thrilled I am too have found this community.
I have always been a fight fan thanks to my Dad and Grandfather. In 1979 (may have been summer of '80) I bought the Titlebout board game and have played it off-and-on since then. I created tons of boxer cards, ran a Universe, kept stats on index cards (with photos taped to the back when I could find one in the Ring) and genuanly loved playing this game. Unfortunately, it was all in isolation. I was thrilled to say the least when I found TBCB's home page back in October. Stunned, really. I was a bit tentative at first, thinking that it could not be as great as the board game had been. After spending a night looking at all of your posts on this board, I was convinced and bought the game. You all sold me on it. It is fantastic to have this community where folks banter about boxing and love this game! I am truely thankful for all of you that comment and contribute and especialy thankful for the Trunzos and the folks at OOTP. So, thank you one and all and Merry Christmas CONN

I can relate to your story so many similarities. I became a fan from the game and made my own fighter cards, held tournaments and roped the occasional buddy to play but mostly it was a solitare event. This community is a blessing . Happy Holidays !

I for one have spent way too much time on this board and this game during 2004. I will probably spend even more time with it in 2005.
I enjoy the hell out of most of you and wish the best Christmas for all of you, even Erick .Here's to TBCB2 and maybe TBRP in 2005. Here's to Jermain Taylor winning a championship in 2005 and Klitschko keeping the championship. |

re
Have to agree its nice to find a crowd of people who still enjoy talking about a sport which is pretty minor today. Over here in UK not many seem that interested in the fight game these days i am sad to say.
I so wish that they would put boxing it back on normal TV and give the millions of people who cant afford Sky or PPV a chance once again to find and fall in love with a sport that i have followed in way or another since i was a youngster. Change things so we only have about 10 divisions and one only champion in each division. Bring back the same day weight in, To stop a 160lb fighter in the ring with a 175 fighter. Anyway Gentlemen Merry Christmas to You All from the Old Wildhawke ![]() |

Danny, the fight game is in worse shape here in Canada, but there is still a core of boxing fans. Best news for me this year was the unexpected arrival on the tube of In This Corner with Russ Anber. I actually get to hear news about Canadian fight cards and fighters once a week. One guy I want to keep an eye on is Polish-Canadian heavyweight Art Binkowski out of Waterloo, Ontario now fighting out of Chi.
Merry Christmas to all and a Happy Hogmanay to my Scots friends. I have my fingers crossed that the next incarnation of TBCB is as great as the first.

I agree, this year has gone very quickly indeed.
A very merry christmas and a happy and safe new year to everyone in our cosmopolitan TBCB community and also to their families. Cheers, Shane.
