Nice!

Does it mean I'm a geek when I misread that first one as "Ipod"

Thanks Bear (I still think it should be Baer):

Those are great and a few that I was blissfully unaware of.

Here is a Newsboy Brown fansite that I posted last month that you may have missed. In the fansite genre, I have seen nothing like it, documentary mpg, bio for all his main opponents, fight descriptions, great voice overs.

Chris
Til I start creating some fighters it was the best way to contribute immediately.

The IBRO homepage also has links to its members homepages and some other reccomended links as well. (Some which I recommended to them.) Most of these are fairly well known. Tracy Callis, Monte Cox, Ric Kilmer's Pete Sanstol site, and Kevin Smith's Carmel Coloured Kings. I didn't mention the Newsboy Brown because I had seen your posting. I posted info about a Marcel Cerdan site on corner work a while back and didn't mention it again here.
There were also tribute sites to Harry Greb, Gene Tunney, Sam Langford, and Rocky Marciano that should come up with a Google search. I recommend using "search math" when usiing search engines. + sign in front of a term to include - sign to exclude a term and "" to phrase bind and all lower case. A + sign will force a search engine to retrieve a term even if it is a stop word. For example +"harry greb"

Prior to the advent of BoxRec, IBOP put out a two volume record book that raised the bar on boxing record keeping. They covered active boxers in 1995, included KO percentage, average rounds per bout, and opponents records at the time of the bout. With BoxRec we take this one for granted, but in 1995 it was a novel contribution. IBRO's Don Cogswell revied these in his four part series of articles on Boxing Record Keeping in the Trunzo's old Electronic boxing Weekly. Also included with the records were fighter bios by Don Carnahan.

Just did some Google image searches to come with with some possible choices.
This was one of my final four choices, but your comment about my hat helped finalize the decision. Reminded me about how Hank Kaplan kept chasing me trying to steal it.

I wore a navy balmoral for a time as a lad. Lost it over in Scotland one year away in the hielands. Now it's either a soft cloth cap or a fedora depending on the weather. Enjoy your trip to the Hall guys. Someday I'll make the trip there myself.

I'd been saying the same thing for years. Last June I finally made it. It isn't something I want to miss now especially after learning the ropes last year. Just a total inundation with boxing.

I've got a number of balmorals as well as glengerrys. I do 18th Rev-war and Scots re-enacting. look like I just come from the cast party of Rob Roy sometimes. Haven't been o'er the water in 30 years. keep aiming to get back there too.
