I have the game and im wondering how you guys play the game....i know your spose to just make the bouts and you decide if there is a title on the line and so forth....but how do you guys determine how you run the game.....I guess im trying to find out, how you guys come up with the way you determine who fights who, when someone gets a title shot...Pretty much im reading everything that everyone is putting and im confused on how this game really works....i can see it being fun i just need help on getting to the fun part....if anyone wants to post how they do there association that would be cool....thanks

Ace, the way I did it originally was to go to each division & I looked up who were the past champs in the WBC, WBA, etc. in the 17 weight classes & decided how far back I wanted to go. Then I just picked 2 guys to fight for each title. In some weight classes I went back to the early 80's & then had my champ fight all the WBC champs since that time for his defenses over the years.
I have my champs fight when the real champ fights. For instance, Steve Johnson is my WBA Lightweight champ. Juan Diaz is the real champ so when he defends on the 21st of Jan., that's when Johnson will defend his title. Hope this helps! Last edited by hamed : 01-07-2005 at 04:22 PM. |

Hi Ace. I got into boxing in the 80's, so I use fighters from 1980 onwards who have held WBA, WBC, and IBF titles. My champions have to defend against a top ten contender, and they also have to defend against a mandatory challenger within a specific time. The top three contenders have to fight other top ten fighters, the rest of the top ten may fight boxers outside the top ten providing they have a winning record. The guys outside the top ten try to build there records into winning ones, so they can attempt to break into the top ten. Hope this may help you in a small way. Enjoy the game.

I seeded 50 to 75 fighters in each weight class so I could have a decent mix of skilled pugs, journeymen and stiffs. I waited until I had at least 8 guys with 21 or more bouts under their belt for title fights. When I got there (about 2.5 simmed years) I had an 8 man eliminination toutnament for the world champion in each division. I have 8 minor belts that trade hands like greenbacks so it wasn't a boring build up but it's not for everyone.

I picked an era I wanted to start in (in my case 1946) and started by autoscheduling 1000 bouts in each weight class among all fighters who were active in that year. From there I had an elimination tournament among the top 8 in each weight class to determine the post World War II champions and then carried on from that point by setting matchups myself and adding new boxers in the year they really turned pro.
