Taylor Vs. Edouard Feb. 19
Hbo Would not accept, rowland and pay Taylor his max, they would only pay him his min for rowland so they came up with him and hbo agreed to pay the max!
Now for MH IF Taylor beats this guy! I will give him his props! Plane and simple! |

Not sure either is much of a challange ... I still say Joppy was his toughest opponent.
Edouard is 16-0-2 with 2 of his last 3 fights being draws. Rowland is 22-1 with the loss coming early in his career and a win over Epifano Mendoza in his last fight. Edouard is ranked 32 and falling by boxrec and Rowland is 10th. How is Edouard a tougher fight than Rowland. How is either a tougher fight than Joppy? Either way the fight will either be over by KO or chicken run early on. |

Both of those draws should have been wins, he took a big step up in fighting Willie gibbs a guy who is manage by Hopkins and who is hopkins brother in law, He trains with hopkins in all his fights, the guy had a record of 20-0 and was quickly becoming a fan fav on espn, and then he just Beat him up, but while doing that he showed he can take a punch, move his head, and he can land a devasting punch with both hands.
This is the toughest challenge for taylor because you have a guy who has never loss, And who is hungry who can punch who is a real SMW! With joppy you had a guy who didnt want to fight, and who was semi retired, and he had not fought in a year. Im think small upsett Ko 1 round Edourard, Taylor gets to excited and gets put away. BTW: Taylor did not want this fight, but took it because he could not get his Min if he did not fight a opponet HBO Agreed on, he wanted Troy. |

Interesting, I don't know Edouard other than what I read and from what is printed he's not highly thought of. I hope it's as big of a test as you think. Is it on the Hopkins undercard? If so that is a pretty good non PPV fight card.

Did you not see Edouard in the lasts years possible FOTY? And DID you see Joppys mundane effort in the Taylor fight...this is going to be alot better on our eyes and patience...at least Edouard fights back...that Joppy fight was a joke. Taylor got tested there about as much as he did in his first 17 pro fights put together.

What I don't get is that Taylor gets slammed because Joppy ran ... Joppy ran the last half of the fight because Taylor kicked his ass in the first half. Joppy tried in the first few rounds and got knocked down and bloodied for his efforts, then he ran.
Edouard fought another guy who had never fought anyone and engaged in a slugfest. FOTY HAH! Two nobodies in front of 150 people slug it out, you can go to almost any Indian Casino on a Friday night and see that. Eric gives a good argument and it's easy to listen to because he is very knowledgeable about today's boxers. But Jay if think a FOTY happened between two guys who have fought absolutely no one, just because they slugged it out then ....... Back to the arguement about Rowland. I've at least heard of Rowland and his last victory was against one of Ring Magazines "Next" fighters. But he doesn't knock anyone out so I can see how he's not interesting. The clip Eric posted of Edouard only showed me that he has power to knock out a nobody (although Eric thought Gibbs was good, Ring magazine thought Mendoza was good) and can take a punch from a guy who had knocked out 14 nobodies. Like I said I hope this is as big of a test as Eric thinks it is. Edouard - Gibbs FOTY .... still laughing about that one. |

Edouard-Gibbs was a televised fight..."Almost any Indian casino on Friday night" arent...maybe FOTY is pushing it, but it was a breakthru fight for Edouard...and Joppy has been sorry since Bhop destroyed him 2 years ago...on top of that he had like a 16 month layoff...hardly a test...c'mon.

No Taylor gets Smashed for not fighting real MW, Which Edouard Did, And Taylor never faced another Undefeated MW, Thats why he gets no love, Edouard, is a hard hitting Slugger, Who has good head movement and throws punches from all over, must of all he can take a punch, Lets Thanks HBO MArk Taffiete, (forget how to spell his name) But he told Taylor NO! When they said Rowland, they actually had the rowland fight down, and when they told Hbo this is the best we can do for Feb 19, Hbo told them they will not be getting there Min,Lou was Outraged by HBO actions, Lou went so far as to say taylor wont fight then, thats when taylor said no! He wants to fight because all the top MW are fighting in the next 3months. So MArk Lou to check out Edouard.
