Contents of the 'Bouts' folder - do you need those files?

Within the Title Bout Championship Boxing folder there is a sub-folder called "Bouts." It contains a very large number of HTML files. Apparently, the game stores the HTML screen of every bout you run.

Do you need those HTML files for anything? If you are not interested in accessing the HTML screens of fights you ran months ago, can they be safely deleted?

All I care about are the results and stats, not the HTML files associated with my fights. They take up a LOT of space on my hard drive.

Best think to do if you are ever worried about mucking up any game is just go in your case into the Title Bout Folder. Now the sub folder was bouts, DONT DELETE IT YET just change the name of it to *boutsOLD* and then make a new folder called bouts.

Now of course if all is not well and things are wrong just delete the new bouts folder you made then change boutsOLD back to bouts. Then your back to square one. Better to be safe then just do a delete.

Hope i have not confused you.
Danny

Well I have All my uni's, From my very first one, which is ATG which is in the links section, to my 1949 Uni TLB(time line boxing) To my Active uni which is up to date with every fighter, I only use it when I want to sim a fight between to fighters who are going to fight, to my Fictional uni, and then my Basic uni, which I use on a every day basis, Of course add the Autoscheduler, and retired fighters, and thats how you get 2gb worth of HTML files. lol.

In Windows 2K and XP you can set the bouts folder to "Compressed" in the folder properties form. Then it will need only ~ 35% of the disk space that it needs now!

Andreas, will we do any irreparable damage if we simply delete the contents of the "Bouts" folder?
