For you career gamers (TBCB related)

I know that technically TBCB is not a career sim but with some work it can be achieved (from what I ahve been told). I would like to now what you guys do in order to achieve this. For example, what are some of the things you do as far as tracking fighters and his history?

I would like to know how to set up a fictional world in TBCB. I would also like to know what I would need as far as mods, ect and I would like to know how to actually run this world.

Im just looking for ideas before I buy TBCB. I like the fictional world rather than the real one, as far as boxing is concerned. I want to start all of my fighters 0-0-0, set up tournys and then got at it.

I do have a few questions about TBCB however,
1)- Do boxers age?
2)- Do they retire (from age or injuries)?
3)- Do new and younger boxers show up in the game once in a while? If so, do you have to manually name them or do they show up with a random fictional names at attributes?

If any of these answers are "no", I would like to know how you guys do this in order to achieve that career sim in TBCB.

Thanks in advace.

1. No
2. No
3. No

There are a few different aging formulas being used and they can be found here on the boards somewhere. I am sure someone can point you to them, the most used I guess would be Cubedrums point system. Aging, retirement and new boxers are all done solely with ones immagination. It takes quite a bit of bookkeeping to realy do a good job with a universe. I for one have started about 25 different universes and all have fallen by the wayside as none realy seemed "just right" to me. I have one in mind to possibly start in the near future in the Inside the ropes section of the boards here, but as with most the others it will probably stall. Look through the inside the ropes posts, there are some good universes there that I just read about whether I am playing the game at that particular time or not. Hope this helps some.

Thanks for the reply.

I will ahve to come up with a system then. I would like to have boxers retire because of age or injury.

Thanks again.

Doing the historical universe is fun, you can add the fighters when they actually did start and end them when they did end. I use all fighters even some fictional in my universe. You can read about it in the inside the ropes forum, and if you would like more info on how i do it i will gladly send it to you od post it up in here somewhere. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
