Mormeck V Braithwaite

I had it 116-110 Mormeck, two of the three real judges had a closer, but Mormeck still wins a UW12. Braithwaite was down in the 9th I believe. Their ratings in the game need to be tweeked. Mormeck is a much harder puncher than is Braithwaite.

Braithwaite was down in the 7th, had a point taken away in the 8th. After the 8th I had it 78-72. I thought Braithwaite controlled the last few rounds when Mormeck knew he was way ahead.

I had it 115-111.

I had it 116-110 Mormeck also. Braithwaites boxing ability is a bit overated. Mormeck even beat him at distance.

I gave Mormeck the last two rounds..... I gave Braithwaite the: 1,3,4,10 and had him losing the 7th and 8th 10-8.

I took braith for what he was he is a hard hitter who tires. but he was outweighted by 10 pounds, and i believe the weight had more of a affect because Mormack is a aggressive fighter Ala Glenn Johnson, And braithwaite is a tall LANKY puncher, he dont do good when takin to deep waters, But I think he showed a ton of heart lasting the distans and coming on to win the 8 (even tho the point was takin a way.)

I had it 7 round 5, 115-111 (2 points taken one Knockdown other point in the eighth)

Mormack Got rocked a few times but showed his chin, It makes you wonder How good is virgil hill because I just watch there last fight and I had hill winning 115-113.

You could have a point. Fabrice Tiozzo was my WBA champ & defended his title against Mormeck a few months ago via a 15UD - he dropped Mormeck 4 times.

Then on Sunday, Braithwaite had his shot @ Tiozzo & blew him away via a 4th round KO!

I think Braithwaite and Mormeck may be a bit overrated in the game. Hill lost a close dec to Mormeck, many thought he won. Both are on about the same level as Tiozzo and Nate Miller---somewhere around a 7---which is good by today's standards.

I've never seen O'neil Bell fight. I saw K. Davis last year and he looked decent, but isn't as good as anyone listed above. Lots of strength but limited boxing ability.

I dont think there overrated I think Hill is underrated, Mormeck is a Agressive fighters, and remember styles make fights, Hill deal with aggression better than any CW I've seen, now what he dont deal with good is a good speedy boxer or a One punch power guy,but fighters like Fabbio and Mormeck are Hill best kind of opposition IMO.

I agree! I think I've seen Bell fight before & he's a big puncher - a lot of good punchers @ CW. I saw "Concrete" Davis win the IBF title - he's a tough guy but never defended his title & it was stripped. I hope he fights Mormeck or the new IBF champ.

"This weight class has been around for roughly 25 years, and has produced more sanctioning fees than interest."

Good article, thanks. And that ^ has to be one of the funniest lines I've heard in a long time. I had all but forgotten Wamba.
