Johnnnny, johnnny, johnny and still Heavyweight Champion of the World,"The Quiet Man" John Ruiz!! Congratulations Mr. Ruiz, from rags to riches on heart and determination alone! Not alot of talent or much fan support, just good old fashioned hard work! Keep cashin those checks buddy, your a real inspiration! Your 10 times a better fighter than Larry Merchant is a commentator!

Ruiz will still be promoted at least partially by Don King. So I assume that his next fight will be against on of King's heavyweights. Is Mount Whitaker one of King's guys?

No...but Chris Byrd is and currently has no partner to the dance. I would not be surprised if that is who Ruiz fights next.

If anyone wants a funny break from John Ruiz and the cast of misfits in the heavyweight division that belong on Christmas Island, click on the below link.

Ruiz is like the little nugget at the bottom of the toilet. No matter how many times u flush it still there and it stinks.

BTW, i'm always hearing how Ruiz is such a nice guy, but he doesn't come of as being that nice to me. He complains and whines too much. He puts on an acting job when he's hit low and never admits that he lost to the better man in his post fight interviews with Jones and Toney. Overall, he's not a likeable personality. toney may be an ass, but Ruiz no Mr. Rogers either.

Norman Stone is the only positive of a John Ruiz comeback i wonder how long it will be before somebody finally knocks that guy out i though he was getting close when he started with Randy Neuman i bet if they were in a bar Stoney would have left in a body bag i remeber Neuman fighting a trilogy with Chuck Wepner for the New Jersey state title. Too bad Mills Lane isnt around anymore.
