Big Fights

After sitting through a rehash of the Wright-Trinidad washout and the implosion of Andrew Golota I was restless so I fired up my PC and went straight to TBCB.

One big heavyweight fight that could've happened but didn't was Big George Foreman against "The Acorn" Earnie Shavers. I figure that would've lasted about 60 seconds! I matched them up this morning and Foreman won in two rounds after both were knocked down once in the first. In the second, Shavers was nailing Foreman when he walked into an uppercut and it was game over.

I also had The Irresistable Force (prime Shavers) versus The Immovable Object (prime George Chuvalo). This was a good one too. Shavers staggered George early and had him cut in the third, but George hung in there and wore Shavers down, finally stopping him the 10th.

Cap - Thanks for these two fights! I always have fights likes these on my "to sim list" -

Foreman Vs Shavers would have been fantastic - and would have probably ended just as your simmed version did! -

Shavers Vs Chuvalo....another great one! -

A few of my classic's I love to sim are a "prime" Julian Jackson Vs Gerald McClellan - Wow, ends in dramatic fashion every time! With one or the other going out!! (and usually after both have hit the canvas at least once).

I throw Mugabi in there as well once in a while - Same result, somebody is going out!! (and usually inside of six rounds).

I haven't simmed it yet....but plan to....that is J. Jackson Vs Tommy Hearns at JMW - Should be short and sweet -

Speaking of Mugabi, he was in a war with McClellan once in my world a couple years ago. Gerald was the WBC champ & had to get off the deck twice in the 1st round to come back & stop John in the 7th via TKO. John hit the canvas 3 times over rounds 2-7.

Gerald was also in a war with Curtis Parker. Parker dropped Gerald twice in the 1st round too & Gerald dropped Curtis 3 times over 10 before finally knocking out Parker with a combo in the 10th.

And Hearns moved up to Super Middle for Nigel Benn's WBC title. Benn was beating Hearns around the ring for most of the 8 rounds (dropped him 4 times) before Hearns TKO'd Benn in the 8th!

3 great bouts!
