I am not advocating for change either. I was just saying that the only change I am in favor of, if we are to change anything, is finding a way to make defensive ability on a par or closer to a par value-wise with power.

I mentioned it before last season too.

I'm back....

Sorry for my extended absence... My father passed away the day after he checked into the hospital, so I had a lot of things to attend to.

This is my first day back at work, and I'm posting here to let you know that I will be trying to upload the bout logs for the past rounds either this week or next week.

On a side note, my team still continues its losing streak, and my losses are only by a few points, also, my draft picks turned out to be busts

Good point. I guess we'll just have to wait until the end of the season and collectively make a decision.

BTW, I ran a few sims of the upcoming Tomato City - Hebron Haymakers match. Boy, my guys just don't match up well against the Haymakers. The best overall result my team had was a lucky Draw. All the rest were pitiful losses. You should easily dominate HW, BW & FLY. I'm just hoping that I lose by no more than 10 but that's only wishful thinking.

I'm hoping those sims come true as I've run some of us vs the Kangroos and they have all been damn close so even if I win I doubt I'm going to score very much. Of course, I don't know how much faith I have in these sims as when I ran some for the Tellez vs Arce tournament fight Tellez only won like 10% and he won by TKO in the real match.

Well, the Big Bossman asked me to run some sims of his week 10 matchup with Tomato City. So here are the results of the 10 matchups:

Match 1: TC: 19-12-1 (13) 52 points
MMS: 12-19-1 (7) 32 points

Match 2: TC: 22-7-3 (16) 63 points
MMS: 7-22-3 (1) 18 points

Match 3: TC: 18-12-2 (14) 52 points
MMS: 12-18-2 (7) 33 points

Match 4: TC: 22-9-1 (16) 61 points
MMS: 9-22-1 (8) 27 points

Match 5: TC: 20-12 (11) 51 points
MMS: 12-20 (6) 30 points

Match 6: TC: 18-14 (14) 50 points
MMS: 14-18 (8) 36 points

Match 7: TC: 17-12-3 (12) 49 points
MMS: 12-17-3 (6) 33 points

Match 8: TC: 17-12-3 (12) 49 points
MMS: 12-17-3 (8) 35 points

Match 9: TC: 19-13 (10) 48 points
MMS: 12-19 (9) 33 points

Match 10: TC: 16-14-2 (10) 44 points
MMS: 14-16-2 36 points

It should be noted that I didn't look indepth into the results so it is very possible that I missed a few DQs so those scores might not be very accurate of course I doubt any DQs would have made to big of a difference.

Christopher
I ran a little comparision for the West & South divisions on the new point structure for UD wins that has been talked about.

Current standings in the West:
Tomato City 133-113-10 (81) 0 = 357
Muckboys 128-121-7 (86) 2 = 347
Barbarians 130-115-11 (66) 0 = 337

Standings allowing 2.5 points for a UD win
(number in green indicates number of UD wins this season)
(27)Tomato City 133-113-10 (81) 0 = 370.5
(44)Barbarians 130-115-11 (66) 0 = 359
(24)Muckboys 128-121-7 (86) 2 = 359

* this system allowed the Barbarians to move into a tie for second

Standings allowing 3 points for a UD win:
(number in green indicates number of UD wins this season)
(27)Tomato City 133-113-10 (81) 0 = 384
(44)Barbarians 130-115-11 (66) 0 = 381
(24)Muckboys 128-121-7 (86) 2 = 371

* this system allowed the Barbarians to move from 20 points behind first to within 3 points.

================================================== ======

Current standings in the South:
Cawkney Crusaders 143-98-15 (65) 1 = 365
MexiVilles 133-116-7 (75) 1 = 347
Juggernaut 123-118-15 (81) 1 = 341

Standings allowing 2.5 points for a UD win
(number in green indicates number of UD wins this season)
(54)Cawkney Crusaders 143-98-15 (65) 1 = 392
(37)MexiVilles 133-116-7 (75) 1 = 365.5
(29)Juggernaut 123-118-15 (81) 1 = 355.5

* this system allowed the Crusaders to improve thier lead by 8.5 points over second place.

Standings allowing 3 points for a UD win:
(number in green indicates number of UD wins this season)
(54)Cawkney Crusaders 143-98-15 (65) 1 = 419
(37)MexiVilles 133-116-7 (75) 1 = 384
(29)Juggernaut 123-118-15 (81) 1 = 370

Yeah, I'm going to have to say I don't like this new system at all nope not one bit. In fact I think it's the worst idea I have ever seen and that isn't because it would wipe out any chances I would have at the playoffs cause that never entered my thinking at all.

I agree that I dont care for this new system based on my current team. I would'nt mind us changing in in say 2 to 3 seasons though. This would give everyone time to prepare for the change.

Been gone all week .. sorry to hear about your dad UMK ... I would vote for 2.5 for a UD .. not equal to a KO.

... condolences and prayers to Umk. Lost my mom a while back. It's tough ...

As for the UD, I drafted guys I like, many of whom are slick boxers. Didn't target big hitters. Naturally, this would put the Barbarians right up at the top, so I favor 3.0, but also realize 2.5 is probably more fair for those of you who did target the KO specialists.
