My vote goes out to Bear as well for skipper of the year. Fine job of assembling talent.

I got this playoff spot in the bag. I only need to score a measly 57 points thats nothing.

Crap, well I still have a small chance but congrats Dave on what looks like a playoff spot. Good luck against the Beavers.

You'll have to work with Klitschko on his endurance Mike. Seems every year at the end of the season he frustrates you with a disappointing loss...

Thanks, but it might be a bit premature. As long as you are mathematically in it, don't give up hope - although I agree that your chances are slim. The Barbarians are not an easy out. The most points that they've given up so far this season is 48 (to the Beavers) and 47 (to Tomato City & Undisputed Champions)

If I do make the playoffs, I hope to represent the West well and not repeat the embarassing ass-whooping (54-27) from Week 1 against the Beavers. The Tomatoes just don't match up well against them.

Even last season when the Barbarians were 0-5 the fights were always close. They just don't get blown out which is why I don't have much faith that I'm going to make it but I'm going to keep hoping until it's confirmed.

Well, considering the Beavers blasted us 51-36 or so last year in the playoffs I won't worry about not representing us well. I'm sure you'll do better then last time. With that 0-4 life time record against the Beavers I'm sporting I know all to well about not matching up well with them.

EDIT: Dammit, SAL you posted to quickly. Well, Congrats to ya Dave. Man, I was hoping to use this round to separate Tellez, Laciar, and Zapata and what do they do they all tie bastards.

Notes from Tomato City

Tomato City improved overall in Season 3 compared to Season 2.

Season 2 Team Record: 5-5-0
Season 3 Team Record: 8-2-0

Season 2 Points Scored: 431 (Average 43.1)
Season 3 Points Scored: 453 (Average 45.3) +2.2

Season 2 Points Allowed: 398 (Average 39.8)
Season 3 Points Allowed: 377 (Average 37.7) -2.1

Weight Class Comparisons:

HW Season 2: 65 Points
HW Season 3: 44 Points -21

LHW Season 2: 53 Points
LHW Season 3: 67 Points +14

MW Season 2: 54 Points
MW Season 3: 51 Points -3

WW Season 2: 62 Points
WW Season 3: 56 Points -6

LW Season 2: 26 Points
LW Season 3: 64 Points +38

FW Season 2: 67 Points
FW Season 3: 64 Points -3

BW Season 2: 65 Points
BW Season 3: 63 Points -2

FLY Season 2: 39 Points
FLY Season 3: 44 Points +5

Overall, I was disappointed w/ the HW. I expected to drop here b/c (7)Ron Lyle was replaced by (2) Duane Bobick, but I did not expect Chuvalo to get beat 8 times. This was clearly offset by the huge LW gains due to (9) Diego Corrales. It could have been better, but he started out 1-6-1 and I almost dumped him. Also a +14 at LHW was a surprise considering I only have (7) George Gardner and (6) Billy Fox. IN fact the LHW was my best performing weight class. The other divisions fared about the same.

My team does not have 1 monster superstar to pile up points and seems to be well balanced. I'm very happy w/ my guys rated 6 and under:

Points Scored Breakdown:

10 Rated (1) - 33 PTS - [12-8-0 (9)]
9 Rated (3) - 115 PTS - [41-17-2 (31)]
8 Rated (2) - 59 PTS - [24-15-1 (10)] * G. Brennan & P. Pender count as 1
7 Rated (3) -87 PTS - [33-23-4 (17)]
6 Rated (2) - 56 PTS - [20-19-1 (15)]
5 Rated (1) - 23 PTS - [8-11-1 (6)]
4 Rated (3) - 69 PTS - [26-32-2 (15)]
3 Rated (0)
2 Rated (1) - 11 PTS - [4-16-0 (3)]

Man, Dave I bet your glad you never pulled the tigger on dumping Diego he's done great for y'all since that rocky start. It's funny how different our ways to team building are with you going for a well rounded group and me going for more of the monster approach. Should be fun to see how next season plays out as I think I finally found a proper balance for my team. I look forward to battling ya for the division title next season.

Just thought you might want to know - your guy Paul Pender went 9-1-1 (1) for Tomato City this season - although I'm not sure if he fits into my plans for next season.

Of course he did. I get rid of guys that aren't doing so hot like Pender and Skelton and they end up turning it around and start doing great. I won't trust him to keep fighting at that level though so dumping him might be a smart idea.
