How do the current owners feel about expanding with another 4 teams?

If we do, we'll have to re-format the conferences and go with 3 divisions and probably a 4 team playoff in each conference.

3 divisions - 6 conferences as you suggest makes sense.

An alternative for the playoffs might be this: a first round wildcard playoff among the four best non-conference winners with the best records - kind of a "play-in". Then you'd have just 8 teams in the playoffs, which would be easier to manage.

As far as expansion - I'm fine either way - the more the merrier. It would be even more work for you though, so I'd defer to the guys who do all the work on this decision.

Do you have four interested owners Scot? If so and you don't mind; I say go for it.

This along with his pathetic showing in the divisional playoffs....

...make him the first must-cut of the off-season. Can you say "locker room cancer?"
Well, it wasn't that make of huge leap on that prediction considering he had already been dumped by three different teams for his not so great production. Heck, Chris refused to even consider him during some of our trade talks. It's no suprise that once Jhonny got cut the Muckboys ripped off three straight wins.

Like Matt said if you've got 4 owners lined up I'm cool with expansion but it's up to you as your the one doing all the work. Also, I remember Dave mentioning it earlier that hopefully we can keep the same basic structure of the 10 round season and such so that we can do cross-seasonal stats compriasons and such.

Now see, if I'd known THAT there's no way I would have allowed him on my squad.

Gonzalez may go down in UTBA history as the only multi-team fighter who never wore a set of Haymaker trunks.

I had him and ditched him. I think Mike was the lucky recipient. I have lost track of who he was with after that. As long as he wasn't on my squad, I didn't much care.

Yep, he went to Mike and from there Jhonny suckered me into believing in him due to a great tournament run that included a win over Jose Medel. I got him from Mike for Troy Dorsey and someone else and from there he shunk up the joint for Matt and myself.

I'd say ok, only on the proviso that you, yourself, are ok with the extra work.

I'd like the 3 division winners and one wildcard format for the playoffs, considering I have the 5th best win % and always just miss the playoffs LOL.

In the end it's up to you though since you will be doing the extra work.

I have 2 for-sures.........that have been following along and know the rules.
The other 2 are maybe.
I wanted to check with the current owners before I started sending out any invites to join.

As long as we maintain the current 10-week season and allow in more of the non-standard DB fighters, I'm ok with it.

Of course, being the self-appointed stats-weenie, it will be a lot more work. I may need a little extra time after the end of the draft and the listing of the new team's rosters to update my anal-retentive stat keeping spreadsheets, but I'll find a way to get it done.

Yes on both. We will keep a 10-week season and the group here decided to allow non-stock db fighters in last season.

You can have all the time you need because I think the stats you provide are a much needed item for this league.
