Flyweight - Johnny Buff (McCune Mitt Slingers)

Everyone knows that a pre-requisite for every veteran UTBA fighter is to spend time as a member of the Hebron Haymakers. Johnny Buff is sure no exception. Following a rough rookie season with the Haymakers, he returned to start Season 3 5-1-2 (1) but was then traded to the Commissioner's McCune Mitt Slingers team. Overall, a great start of 10-2-2 (2) this season was marred by a rocky 0-3-3 (0) finish which cost him a spot in the EOY Tournament, but for him the season was a success.

Johnny Buff did not qualify for the FLY EOY Tournament.

Light Heavyweight - Battling Siki (Muckboys)

Battling Siki began Season 3 on a new team - the Muckboys after splitting last season between the Bonner Springs Bald Beavers and the Hebron Haymakers. He managed to put forth a +16 Points Scored gain from Season 2 and remained a durable constant on a Muckboys team that saw a record 26 fighters populate its roster. Just like last season, Battling Siki had one shot at the LHW Title and was unsuccessful.

Unfortunately Battling Siki did not qualify for the LHW EOY Tournament.

Heavyweight - Ron Lyle (Bear's Unstable)

After being unfairly dumped by Tomato City after the end of Season 2, Ron Lyle was re-drafted as the #12 pick of the 3rd Round (#42 overall) by Bear's Unstable. Ron's good performance contributed to the fantastic improvement of the Unstable this season. Earnie managed victories against some of the toughest Heavyweights in the Gold Conference and ended up with a +16 improvement in his Points Scored. He also fought twice for the HW Title, but was defeated in both bouts.

Ron heads into the HW EOY Tournament as the #15 Seed.

Candidate #1:

Lightweight - Claude Noel (Cawkney Crusaders)

Claude Noel shocked the UTBA world when he captured the LW Title against Carlos Ortiz. He then went on to have 3 successful defenses to end the season as champion. That, along with the +7 gain in Points scored from Season 2, makes Claude a valuable asset to one of the Silver Conference's most balanced teams - the Cawkney Crusaders.

Unfortunately Claude Noel did not qualify for the LW EOY Tournament due to his Title loss in the Playoffs.

Jimmy Britt can be considered a "diamond in the rough" as a 3 rated fighter in the UTBA. IceTea sure has a keen eye for finding guys like him. Jimmy had an amazing Season 3 against a higher level of competiton than his losing Season 2 and ended up with a +8 gain in Points Scored. As he did last season, he lost his one shot at the Title.

It may be hard to justify a former WW Champion as Comeback Fighter of the Year, but considering that 3-rated Sylvester Mittee won the Title on a disqualification and then quickly lost it in his first defense, he showed improvement in Season 3. His +13 gain in Points Total against a higher level competition makes Sylvester a valuable member of Juggernaut. No title shots were available to him during the regular season.

Sylvester Mittee heads into the WW EOY Tournament as the #15 Seed.

George did not get an opportunity to fight for the WW Title but feels that he can compete with anyone in the welterweight division. He carries this confidence into his 1st EOY Tournament.

Oscar Muniz is one of the founding members of the expansion Punching Bags. He was chosen despite the fact that he sat out Season 2 without a job. A poor showing in Season 1 for the Undisputed Champions and the long layoff makes his success this season more noteworthy. He ended up with a +20 gain in Points scored over his Season 1 results. He has never fought for the BW Title, but hopes to change that in the BW EOY Tournament.

Oscar Munis heads into the BW EOY Tournament as the #13 Seed.
