Some very close results so far. Mexivilles must be one of the favourites to take the total victory this season. They are like a freight train that won't slow down.

I am planning on slowly catching the Mexivilles over the next 3 weeks for a big finale against them in week 10.

Tough loss for ya KC. Man, your FWs-FLYs let you down big time this time but at least the Undisputed Champions weren't able to gain any ground on you.

Yeah, my guys have been pretty disappointing the last two weeks. Both matches I was confident of winning. We're really just hanging on by the skin of our teeth to that divisional lead. It's gonna go right down to the last week because neither of us will get close to the wildcard.

Yep, I think it's a very doable plan. Hopefully my week 7-8-9 opponents comply.

Wow - I really anticipated a close one here. While I expected Zab, the MWs and to a lesser degree, the HWs to dominate, there were a bunch of other guys who way outpaced expectations.

Looking over the results, I don't know which is the most unexpected shock of the day:

- Mercurio Ciaramitaro actually going the distance against both Zapata and Laciar. That in and of itself should earn him MVP considerations.

- Octavio Gomez beating both Zapata and Laciar (I was hoping he might be able to outlast the pre-prime Laciar but was shocked to see his W over Zapata).

- Caballero KOing both Olivares and Rivera in the 5th round.

- Both of my Lightweights, Rocky Kansas and Jim Watt, KOing Art Aragon. They were 4-0 on the day as well.

That was a real unlucky one for the Barbarians.

So who gets the MVP award? Gomez or Caballero? I went with Celestino since he was so close to getting it last week, but Gomez' performance today was just as impressive if not more so.

My vote is for Gomez.
*Note
Gomez scored one knockdown in his two bouts and tasted the canvas only once. Caballero on the other hand scored 5 knockdowns in his two fights and paid a visit to the mat one time in each fight.

Thats a huge win. Now I'm only 9 back of Tomato City if Stockholm's Finest can find it within themselves to keep their match with Dave's boys close next week I might be in striking range for first in our week nine matchup.

The next two weeks are pretty much my season with Tile Hill and Tomato City coming up. I'm going to need to win both to make sure I make the playoffs and hopefully grab the division lead which would be nice.

With Chilton and 420th Street up next, I hope that the division lead will be up for grabs when we finish with Icetea at home.

Of course, Chilton is due to jump up and bite someone soon. I hope it isn't with the Haymakers.

Nice win Romy. Looks like you are making a move in the West.

Left Jab Inc put up a really good fight this time against Tomato City. The roster changes made (except for Newsboy Brown) have definitely improved the team. I was really shocked that Miguel Callist TKO'd Diego Corrales as well as the lack of KO's my team had this week.

Looking forward to the rematch in Week 9, but I really think that both the Muckboys and Tomato City have a shot at the playoffs.

I like my chance at making the playoffs but I need to win the next two weeks to make sure I make it. Tile Hill has Stockholm in week 9 so if he beats me next week he'll have a damn good shot at taking over the wildcard. I'd be willing to say that y'all can go ahead and punch your ticket for the playoffs. You should be able to beat The Guards and Stockholm without to much trouble and I have no doubts that our match will be very close so you shouldn't have any problems.

I was looking at the standings and I do believe that I now have more points then the Bears which got me wondering if the wildcard has more points then a division leader would the wildcard get a higher seed or would they still be the 4th seed.
