As a point of order, Griffo doesn't ship out for Antwerp until after the payoffs.

This should be fun Romy!

I wanted to give Kalinik something to cheer for in the tournament. I made an edit and have given the Haymakers and the Southpaws dual ownership of Griffo.

It has been pretty fun so far. I'm about to start the Moore/Starling match.

If he wins it all, we'll chalk it up to Antwerp.

As for the only Tomato City representative in this tournament, the question is not how far Lupe Pintor will go, but how many rounds he can last before getting TKO'd by Carlos Monzon.

I say the over-under on this fight will be 5 rounds.

Good luck to everyone else who actually has a fighting chance in this tournament.

You need to have more faith in your boy and I hope you bet the over cause while Pintor got the crap beat of him he managed to last the distance. Pintor even took a round of Monzon.

Round 1 Results have been posted.

EDIT: Round 2 Results have been posted.

Quarterfinal Results have been posted.

I still can't believe that Carruthers almost landed in my knee before the season. He is good for sure.

Was Zamora in the fight at all prior to the late stoppage?

Good luck to all who remain.

Zab dispatches Walker nemesis Tiger Flowers before departing the tourney.

Now that's what I call teamwork.

Expect for the opening fight with Jackson, Carruthers has just rolled though this tournament. Arguello only won a couple of rounds in their fight and Honeyghan didn't do much better.

Nope, Zamora was down 9-1, 9-1, 8-2 at the time of the stoppage. It should have gone to decision but the ref stopped the fight with 15 seconds left in the round. Foster just had his way with Zamora the whole way through.

It was decided by the original 14 members to use the TBCB game rankings for the league and we have used them since day one.

I can put this up for a vote later in the week and see if the owners wish to continue using the in game rankings for the EOY tournament or use the season points scored.

The only drawback I see using the points leaders to decide who's in, is some of the weight classes are stacked more than others. Example, we fight teams in our own division twice. Let's say I have a BW rated 9 & one a 7. The 3 other teams in my division have no BW's rated any higher than a 3 on their team. Both of my BW's should clean up in division play leaving them both with around 36 points with 4 matches to be fought out of the division. Their ranking should be low though however due to lack of performance points earned winning over a bunch of duds. Just my 2 cents. So to me, even though the current ranking system seems crazy at times and appears to reward the fighter who is peaking at the end of the season, I feel the game rankings do a better job of putting who deserves to be in the EOY tournament over the long haul of a season.

No, I don't think that will be necessary, Sal. It's fine the way it is.

Semifinals are done and the final is set. I picked Monzon to win this thing but considering that this tournament was based on overall careers I think the right final happened. Yes, ladies and gentlemen we have the two most dominate fighters in UTBA history will be facing off against each.

Mickey Walker vs Bob Foster
15 rounds for the PfP title

Final results have been posted.

Congratulations to the winner of the Season 4 PfP tournament.

Mickey Walker

I'll go ahead and start building the man his own wing in the Hall of Fame as he is in a class of his own without a doubt.

The man is the best around but I should point out that he was damn close to losing his last two fight. Monzon had Walker hurt, covering up, and with a 1:30 left in the round had already put 15 points on him when the ref stopped the fight to check Walker's cut. Foster dropped Walker in the first round and then again a few rounds later and pretty much kicked Walker's butt until Walker came roaring out in the 10th to score the stoppage. Though I guess that fact that he was able to overcome those bad situations is even more proof of his greatness.

Edit: I've attached the bout logs for the tournament.

I think the league has done great so far,too much change could mess up a good thing. The only thing that I see thats wrong, and I really dont have an answer on how to fix it,is that a team like the Mexivilles not making the playoffs. I dont know how to fix it..and I know that it is done by the book, but it just seems that a team that was undefeated going into the final week...well..ya know. Anyway,I think the league is going great,Sal and all the stats guys do a wonderful job. Whatever you guys decide is fine by me. I will just keep trying to get my Left Jab boys to the top. Take care fellas.

Quick Reminder to everyone, The All-Star game is happening May 5th whenever I manage to get myself out of bed so probably noonish so the voting will close May 4th at Midnight. I've gotten ballots from 2 owners in the Gold and none from the Silver so get your ballots in because if you don't then I'll have to pick the teams and if that happens well lets just say don't be suprised when the opening fight is Elmer Ray vs Sinan Samil Sam.

All, I'll try and put out an updated list of for each weight class tomorrow to look over.

But, in case nobody in the Silver votes and HW Sinan Samil Sam 1-19-0 (1) needs company representing the Silver Conference - here's some worthy choices Romy:

HW Jimmy Thunder 1-13-0 (0)

LHW Vonzell Johnson 2-18-0 (0)
LHW Larry Marks 1-19-0 (1)

MW Ilyas Ahmed 1-19-0 (0)
MW Kenny Shea 1-19-0 (1)

WW Conny Rudhof 0-19-1 (0)
WW Joey Limas 1-19-0 (1)

LW Norman Goins 1-19-0 (1)
LW Tony Pep 1-19-0 (1)

FW Jesus Meneses 0-20-0 (0)
FW Jackie Turpin 3-17-0 (1)

BW Eloy Sanchez 2-18-0 (1) 1DQ
BW Francisco Paredes 0-10-0 (0)

FLY Miguel Angel Granados 2-17-1 (1)
FLY Bert Cano 0-4-0 (0)
