Sorry for the late reply, but i've had a busy week. Yesterday it's been the Champions League Final which i watched and during the day i'm at work of course... And even more busy: in Belgium there'll be elections at the 10th of July and since i'm active in a political party i'm almost every evening away campagning. Interesting but very time consuming.
My Southpaws will be in the draft though, i will be there! |

The Draft Pool and the Rosters have been updated.
Please double check your rosters and make sure they are correct. No need to reply unless there is something wrong with your roster. I just sent the updated database to Romy. For those that receive it, you should get it sometime today. The PMs I sent concerning the minor leagues on whether or not you are going to participate in it, I have received conformations back from everybody except:

I haven't had to many dealings with TC DALE but he does seem like a top notch guy. Welcome to the league man.

Bear's Unstable (bear)
(cap points = 105) My team philosophy, going back to when I was an expansion club, is predicated on having a roster of fighter's that give me a puncher's chance in every match. Last season I set a UTBA mark for KOs and I hope to better that with this season's team. Hope to return to the playoffs again this season. Losing by two points to the Beavers in the semi's, although disapointing, also marked the first time I personally felt, that I had arrived as a team in the UTBA, and can play with the big boys. HW (9)Oscar Bonavena 17-22-2 (14) *pre-prime (7)Elmer Ray 36-27-2 (24) *PRIME Bonavana replaces a prime Lyle. Oscar has the same power and contol factors as Lyle but unlike the often floored Lyle, Bonavena has a granite chin that won't be giving opponents extra points for KOs. Ray is a big personal favorite of mine. (I wrote the bio that has been included in the game.) He had a fine season last time out. LHW (7)Jimmy Adamick 43-20-1 (33) *PRIME (13)Archie Moore 39-6-0 (37) *PRIME My light heavyweight pair puts most of my opponents through a meat grinder much like the Beaver's middleweights. MW (6)Eduardo Lausse 33-29-0 (25) *PRIME (1)John LoCicero 3-39-0 (1) *PRIME Considering the fact that I've given up on this division, KO Lausse makes a great case for being my team mvp. He's like the little engine that could. WW (9)Pipino Cuevas 44-18-4 (37) *PRIME (5)Dave Green 39-46-3 (24) *PRIME A prime Boy Green, replaces a pre-prime Kid Azteca. Azteca was a personal favorite, but Green is at Prime and as a 5 allowed me to pick up Bonavena. Cuevas has been a stud after an uneven beginning in his rookie season. LW (4)Andy Ganigan 17-24-1 (12) *pre-prime (5)Fabian Tejeda 43-36-0 (27) *PRIME Decent production from some lower ranked guys. Ganigan as a pre-prime 4 is invaluable. I've turned down several trade requests for him. FW (4)Carmelo Negron 15-32-0 (10) *pre-prime (6)Enrique Sanchez 38-26-0 (25) *PRIME A significant roster move made in drafting Negron to replace an unproductive pre-prime Marquez. I traded two 1st round picks to move up to snag Finito Lopez at fly and spent the several hours praying that Negron would fall to my second round pick. Getting those two guys was all that I hoped for in the last draft. Negron may not be too consistant but his power should off set that. Marquez wasn't all that consistant and he was a 9 that didn't pass the old Bear eyeball test. (Look for fighter to produce a point total three times his ranking as a measure of success. A little lower for beginners given their competition. It probaly isn't any secret that I show the door to guys who don't perform to this standard.) Sanchez has been quite productive for me throughout his career, in an understated manner. BW (9)Jose Becerra 56-14-2 (37) *PRIME (5)German Ohm 12-29-2 (6) *pre-prime 3 time champion Becerra has the best post season tournament record of any bantam. He's been a star for the Unstable from day one. Ohm is still pre-prime and ok as a lower raked guy. Fly (3)Chartchai Chionoi 28-49-2 (16) *PRIME (12)Ricardo Lopez 0-0-0 (0) *beginning Chioni was the only veteran on my inital roster as an expansion team. A Prime 3 and cap space saver. Finito Lopez may have initial growing pains but I'm tired of having my flys slapped around by everybody. Had to let Peter Kane go, which is no reflection on Kane, who I expect will have a good career, but Kane is no Finito Lopez. Finito should be the new stud on my team around the time when some of my current stars go to post prime. Bear

Thanks guys. I will hit the ground running, and most likely make a LOT of mistakes.
(Which usually means I will drop my guard a few times and earn a black eye or two!)Appreciate all the support guys!

You know, whenever I hear this kind of advice, I remember one thing. Play 'em for a bit and see what you get. If you don't get the results you want, then listen to all trade offers... hehe. Nice try tho Romdawg!

I have posted the pre-season individual rankings with a new format.
Check them out and let me know what you think. I was trying to liven them up a little. Use the link in my sig. for the rankings.
