Good win Romy!
I'm happy to see that my team is going in the right direction. It's hard to make any predicitions after only one round though. Chavez and Abraham started exactly the way that htey didn't suppose to. As I wrote in the pre-season review, they both have a lot to prove this season. This didn't do either of them any good, that's for sure.

Yeah, it was a bad match for guys who have to perform better with Chavez, Abraham, and Lopez doing so poorly. Your boys do look much improved from last season.

I just realized that the 3rd judge in Corrie Sanders both fights must be his dad, a close friend or someone that Corrie has incriminating photos of.

You're right. A bit to close for comfort imo. Ingo did his job though. Both Oma and Frazier felt the "toonder".

Thanks. I didn't expect this wide of a margin. I simmed our match a few times and there was no clear cut winner. Each match ended very close.
I kind of made roster moves this season to match up better against the Hilltoppers. It was a knee-jerk reaction to the playoff loss last season. I let a few favorites go in my quest to do better against a few out-of-division opponents. Good luck in the rest of the season. Bring on the Mitt Slingers!!!! ![]()

Interesting matches so far. It is really great getting a new season underway. I'm really hyped up about the minor league draft.
The Unstable is getting the old welcome wagon out for Antwerp. They have a lot of beginners on their club so it could be very very ugly just like my initiation to the league when I faced the Beavers. Bear

Bah, well there goes my plan of opening up a lead over Tomato City in the first two matches. Great win Dave, I thought for sure that this would be a close one.

Chilton up next, I think we have some favorable matchups for possibly securing our first League win, I need my beginners to score some points though or it could be another ugly day in the UK.

I've caught up with the rookie draft. All rosters and the draft/free agent pool have been updated to reflect the rookie draft picks.
Just a heads up for everybody. Matt and I had big plans on driving to this years boxing HOF but our plans crashed and burned. Since the HOF date happened to be the same time as my wedding anniversary and I'm not going to New York now, my wife is going to make me pay dearly for planning a trip during this time with someone else and not including her. So........one week from today, I'll be gone for 4 days. The first week of the UTBA will be completed before I leave and the rookie draft can continue while I'm away. When I get back, I'll shut the rookie draft down for 4 days and open the free agent waiver wire. Once the waiver wire is closed, the draft can pick up from where it left off and I'll start week 2..... and by the looks of a post above........ the Mitt Slingers will be looking to squash some Tomatoes by then. They don't scare me none. ![]()

Unfortunately not .. got to get the kid in college (next year) before we can plan any trips ... and Kelly has the first one being a cruise. I'm probably 3 to 4 years away from it. |
