3 hours until the close of the second waiver round and still no requests.

If nobody has a problem......I'll shut the waiver wire down at 4 pm CST today and begin preparations for starting week 2 of the UTBA schedule.
Also we can resume the rookie draft at this time (4 pm CST).

I'm also going to post a poll by request to vote on later today to see if the owners want to go ahead and activate the minor's as soon as the rookie draft is complete or wait until the beginning of season 6.

The Waiver Wire has been closed for this game week. Due to zero activity, it has been shut down early. I'll get with jbergey so he can resume the minor league draft.

Damn,I really need to bounce back. I look at my team compared to last season and it looks so much better,just dont understand my opening day loss. While TC has a good team and is not an expansion team,I still thought that I would at the least make it a very close match(within 5pts). Oh well,the fans of Left Jab are screaming for my neck...if I dont put a winner together soon I may be in trouble..LOL. Take care guys and good luck to everyone but the Barbarians this week. LOL. I think it may take about 3-4 weeks into this season before we really know who is gonna contend and who are gonna pretend. Well,it should be exciting anyway. Special thanks to jbergey and Sal for helping Left Jab with the rookie draft. My father is still hanging in there but is showing signs of lapsing into a coma. I appreciate all the kind words and well wishes as well. Means a lot. Take care fellas...enjoy.

Thanks Mike and Bear and to the others who have sent well wishes. Although I have seen it coming for a couple of years now,you just are never ready to give up a loved one. The UTBA is a good little distraction for me when I can get a few moments to let my mind rest. Take care guys. Hope to be back on a regular basis when this situation resolves itself. I lost my mother in a car accident a year ago. It all went from being normal to absolute chaos in a split second. It felt very unfair for a healthy person to lose her life in a freak accident and for a while I thought that it would have been "easier" if she had been sick for a while and we would have had a chance to "prepare" for what would come. I'm not sure anymore though as it must be very tough to see a familymember fading away over a long period.

If I can give an advice it is to say everything you want to say and make sure to tell your father what he means to you in time. We all tend to take friends and loved ones for granted (not you in particular) from time to time. If every word is said it makes the sorrow a little easier to carry.

Stay strong.

After close review my WW's killed me last match. They are pre-prime 9 and prime 8 and they went 0-4 and got out scored 9-0. I will not put up with Stracey for too long this season.

My FW's hurt also but it was a beginning 10 and a prime 3, they went 0-4 and were out scored 10-0. I expect to get outscored like that in my BW and MW divisions (combined 1-6-1 outscored 14-3) but I have to have production out of the WW's.

Cotto just can't win as of late .. seems like he has lost 6 to 8 in a row.

My totals

HW - (1-3) outscored (3/7)
LH - (3-0-1) (9-1)
MW - (1-3) (2-7)
WW - (0-4) (0-9)
LW - (2-1-1) (7-3)
FW - (0-4) (0-10)

My "top" WW, Arturo Gatti is sitting in the same boat as your guys. He is a 9 rated guy that has to start producing some results if he wants to stay in the team.

At least Gatti beat 3 rated Sylvester Mitee to go 1-1 in the first round. Jesus Chavez and Arthur Abraham both went 0-2 and that is completely unacceptable from two fighters with that high ratings.
