Trying to that link to work correctly kicked the crap out of me damn.
Yeah, those are some seriously scary bugs. Truthfully, I'm not sure if pipe bombs would even work on those Hornets. Here is the link to the article where I found the video. I wouldn't want to run into any of those bugs.

Yeah,I hope everything is OK. He sure has had his share of bad luck this past year. I wanted to clarify my statement as well,I meant no disrespect to Sal,he has went above and beyond for us in this league and has been a wonderful friend and has done one helluva job..a thankless job at that. I was just speculating that maybe he could use a hand with running the league. I am sure that a few of the guys would not mind helping out if he doesnt have the time or just needs a break(which would be perfectly understandable)! If I had the time I would gladly help him out,but at present I just dont have the time to even keep up with the forums on here like I usually try to do. The bottom line..I just hope everything is OK with him and his family.

Thank you Chris, much appreciated. It has been a long and tough battle and it is rough to see a once strong and happy man reduced to laying on his back for 8 months now and struggling for breath. I tell ya,not to preach, but for anyone out there who is a smoker..please try to quit. COPD is not a very pleasant thing to watch a loved one suffer through. Although he has black lung, silicosis which are work related, the cigarettes had a major impact on Dad. At any rate, has anyone heard from Scot? I am hoping that I can find a little more time to spend on here but I have been super busy and it seems that I just stay tired..LOL. I guess we can all say that eh? Well, take care guys and thanks again Chris. Peace.

Thank you for the kind words Bear. I have downloaded the demo and I think the new team have done a great job with the improvements and new ratings. Just a question, how do I get an active fighter to his "current" rating? Such as say..oh..Oliver McCall? Do I just use what I think is right like clicking on post-prime or end? Just curious. I know that all active fighters are rated in prime. If this has been discussed or answered before then I am sorry but I must have missed it. I just havent been on here much of late. Take care all.

No reason we couldn't keep it running. If we can find a new bossman we should be good until hopefully Scott comes back. The only problem is that we don't have the files for the three matches Scott ran in week 7 so those would have to be redone.

If we do want to get this rolling again, I would propose keeping Scot as commish when he comes back and just having an interm Vice Commish that could help out when he gets busy or something comes up.
I would feel very comfortable with any of these as Vice Commish if they wanted the job. Romy Dave Chris Mike bear BigMatt

Maybe we should just hold off for a little while longer.
I would hate to see the UTBA scrapped, but if Scot remains MIA, maybe we could reboot completely from scratch using 2.5 and the revamped dB. I would be willing to step up and run a "new" UTBA-II league, but I can't guarantee that it would run a smoothly as Scot runs UTBA. Stat-keeping is very time consuming, so the chances of running a round of matches each week will probably be too much for me to keep up with. 2 weeks per round is a little more realistic. That being said, waiting a bit more can't hurt...

I think would be fine with either Jeremy's Vice Commish or Dave's reboot idea. I do agree completely with Dave's idea of waiting abit longer and seeing if SAL pops back up maybe like a month or so.

I am OK with someone taking over as interim commish. I dont like the idea of starting the season over or starting from scratch, hell,I just got my team to where they are competitive and should be getting better for the next couple of seasons..LOL. I hope that it is something like computer problems or just burn out. He has been known to do this before so maybe it is something minor that is keeping him offline. Still, most towns have a library(even a small sh** town like mine)that offer internet access..strange to say the least. Peace.

I'll try to contact ...
... Scot. I have his phone number somewhere from when I lived an hour or so away from him in Kansas a few years ago. I, too, hope all is OK because he is a good guy and has done an excellent job on this league.
On another note, does anyone have the venue pic file for Olympia Hall in Brazil that the Barbarians are using for this league? I sent it to Scot way back when we started, but evidently didn't copy it to my new computer ... I'm hoping someone has it in their DB. Thanks in advance.

Just heard ...
... from Scot by phone. He is in Tulsa. He does utilities repairs, and the cruddy weather in the Midwest has kept him away from the computer for almost six weeks. He said to tell you guys work has swamped him, and he's hoping to get back on the 'Net in about a week to a week-and-a-half. His health is good and no floods or other calamities on the home front.
