Thanks to everyone for the kind words following the loss of my father. I am doing as well as can be expected. Just wanted to say thanks...surprising how just a few little words can make ya feel better. Well,on to brighter thoughts..I am ready to get the Left Jab crew back on track and do some damage in the stretch run of the UTBA. I have to play spoiler one more time, but hopefully(I say this every season..LOL)I will move to the upper echelon next season and make a few of the big guns take notice. Take care fellas. Peace.

Yeah,I really miss the league. It was a nice little diversion for a bit..great idea too. Originally,I had never thought this would be as fun or interesting as it turned out to be. Sal and all the stat keepers kept this thing new and interesting. I hope soon we can get back to the UTBA and reclaim our spot at the top..LOL. See ya later fellas.

Hello everyone.
Sorry for my long absence guys. I bid a new job at my work place last year and it has been kicking me in the ass (time-wise) every since. I'd like to see who would be interested in starting the UTBA back up again as I've got my new job under control now and should have the time. With the new game release and all.......I'd like to start the UTBA over from scratch, plus we could also improve the league rules and league operations from the mistakes we've made in the past. We can either post here who is interested in giving the league another shot or I can start a separate thread. I've got a lot of catching up to do on the forum here and the game as I just got it downloaded last night.

... I would be interested in doing it however you want. Only exception is we would need an official co-commissioner. One that you would contact and let know you were going to be gone for a while and he could take over, instead of just disappearing and leaving it dead. |

Agree 100%. Would you be interested in the co-commish job? As of right now, I don't see any more disappearing acts from me again. We'll have to address the team cap 1st thing as I see the overall ratings change as a fighter advances through his career stages.

I don't have the time to co-commish but I would nominate Romy or Dave. Edit - oh yeah with the God comment I think I said a while back in this thread (when people were questioning where you were) that with all the natural disasters you have had in your area that God finally got you. Count me in Scot.
Re-booting the UTBA is fine w/ me and I would be willing to be co-commish. It's just a bit sad to dump the massive amounts of stats that have accumulated so far - but what the hell. Glad to see you back.

I'll sit down later tonight and send a PM out to all the old owners letting them know we will be restarting the UTBA. I'm also thinking about limiting the number of teams to 16 instead of the 24. That would make for a more managable league in terms of time. What do you guys think?

The number of teams really isn't that big of a deal - as long as there is no MINOR LEAGUE!!!!
I did not like the idea originally, and don't really like it now... But if a majority of owners want it, I'll support a smaller number of teams.

I think the number of teams will depend on who is still interested and who else is interested besides the original owners.
Count me in as being interested. I'd love to see the Oakland Assassins back in action with Kerry Washington, Beyonce, Gabrielle Union and Halle Berry as our round card girls. |
