I've downloaded 2.5 and saved it in a different folder to version 1. I only want the demo (so that I can get the fighter ratings as the database is showing them at career stages other than Prime) so do I still have to get an e-license for it? And if I do, will that have any negative effect on my version 1? I seriously don't want to install it if it stuffs up my version 1.

Thanks.

I don't think you need to e-license the demo so it shouldn't have any effect on your TBCB 1 game.

It will have no effect on your ancient version of the game ... seriously why no update?

Pretty much because version 1 fulfills what I need from the game. If I had never wanted to write the story of the HBF and IBL I most likely would not have purchased it.

Oops!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I've misunderstood a PM conversation with Tosti when I said he'd join this time around. He told me he would not be around very much the next 2 months. Long story short, I'll take charge of the team and if he ever decides to get back in the league, I'll give him first shot at my team.

In the meantime, I'll get a roster sent off to Romy & Romultiltus like I've done in the past just to keep me honest.

*EDIT
Team: Nebraska Corn Jabbers
Venue: Memorial Stadium, Lincoln NE

Roster submitted.

What happened to the list? I had thought Icetea's roster was in earlier but now it is gone.

Ice just had a minor problem concerning a rating of a fighter so I had to remove it till it was fixed. Since that time......I see he has sent me a PM but I haven't gotten to it yet.

Just finished up with the weekend party for my daughter and I'm pooped.

I see about 10 roster submissions in my PM box. I'll work on some tonight and the rest tomorrow and post an updated list of rosters.

The 4 voting polls will close in less than an hour.

Results so far:
  • Do away with the conference structure and just have 6 divisions, vote is 9-7 to can the conferences.
  • Use overall prime rating for cap purposes until a fighter reaches post-prime and then use the 2.5 game ratings. 18-1 in favor of using the prime rating.
  • Can the minor league system. 14-2 in favor of the canning.
  • Give 3 points for a uni. dec. 12-5 in favor of doing so.
There will be a proposal on the board in a few days asking for a tweaking in the scoring system since it looks like the 3 point uni. dec. will carry. I've seen it and I think it is a good idea.

If we end up with 6 divisions, we'll let the 6 division winners and 2 wild card teams into the playoffs. Also, I'd like to stick with a 10 or 12 week game schedule. We will need to decide if we still want to have 2 divisional match-ups during the course of a season and also see what will work best for Dan our schedule maker in this regard.

Do you guys want to come up with 6 names for our divisions instead of what we have (geographical based)?

If you want to keep it at ten weeks with four teams per division the easiest schedule would be six divisional games and four against all the teams from one other division. This means we'd have inter-divisional teams playing each other once every five seasons. 12 weeks doesn't really balance out too well but 14 would be okay as you could add another round of division v division matchups.

As for the division names, i had an idea about a week ago that they could be named after the All-Time greats, eg. Ali division, Robinson division, etc. That might be a bit strange though as the fighters who the divisions are named after could eventually end up in the league.

I think thats a cool idea, we could even take it further back to the pioneers of the sport.

Queensberry, Broughton, Mendoza, Figg, Caunt, Cribb, or something to that effect.
