The individual tournaments will be over before we know it (1 to 3 days)

Everybody needs to decide when and what times we want to hold the draft. Below, I posted just an example of the time differences to give everybody an idea.

Utba Draft Schedule proposal

In an attempt to have all of the managers on-line at the same time
during the draft, here is a pilot schedule for drafting times.
If I did my math right, this is a list of time comparisons
for all the managers in the league. This will only be a guideline
to work from. See what you think........any suggestions.

Melbourne, Australia 8 am Sunday morning =
London, England....................11 pm Saturday night
Hartford, CT/Louisville, KY........6 pm Saturday evening
Chicago,IL/Kansas City, MO.........5 pm Saturday evening
Phoenix, AZ........................3 pm Saturday afternoon

or

Melbourne, Australia 12 midnight Sunday morning =
London, England....................3 pm Saturday evening
Hartford, CT/Louisville, KY........10 am Saturday morning
Chicago,IL/Kansas City, MO.........9 am Saturday morning
Phoenix, AZ........................7 am Saturday morning

If we can get everybody on-line together, we could set a 1 to 10
minute time limit between picks and it would be possible to
finish the draft in 2 hours or less.

I'm good for anytime.

Disappointing loss by McGuigan, but what an upset by Toweel.

8-2 in the first round. Hoping to get 4 onto the next round.

Well, the tournments have gone for my guys pretty much how I expected them to go but I'm shocked how well Troy Dorsey did against Sugar Ramos he almost pulled that upset. However, we've got some really tough second round matchups should be fun to watch.

Holy c#@p!!!! Lupe Pintor loses by DQ in the 12th. What the hell did he do? I'm more pissed off about this than seeing Chuvalo get TKO'd by Chris Byrd (which I'm still sore about). Man, the Tomatoes have just plain sucked in the tournaments.

With only Gardner & McGovern left standing after the first round, this has been a completely disappointing performance by Tomato City.

Personally, the Sunday 8am Australian time works for me. Although I might not be available until 8.30, as my wife leaves for work at that time. If so, I'll just say in advance that I'll be taking Carlos Monzon with my first pick.

I'm better with the second option, but if the 1st works for the majority, I'll see what I can do to rearrange things.

Shopping

The Beavers, considering a variety of options, have several pre-prime veterans that we're shopping:

LHW - George Khalid Jones (6)
LW - Al "Bummy" Davis (5)
BW - Johnny Carter (8)
Fly - Guty Espadas (8)

The first three of these guys will soon be prime.

Would also consider other trades. While there are a number of guys I'm fond of, only the middleweights are untouchable.

Looking to move up in rounds 1 and/or 2. Having 2 late picks in round 2, I might be willing to package them both for the right offer.

... may have been involved in more DQ bouts (losing most himself) than anyone in the league ... ugh!

And that's with Rudy Battle as referee with a lenient rating in the foul department.
