The Muckboys walk out of the tournments with the same number of champions as we walked in with, Congrations to Andrew Lewis on the amazing tournment run. I'm dissapointed that Candido Tellez lose but he'll get a couple more shots at Vic next season so we'll grab the FLY title again.

Dave Charnley was the lightweight champion, albeit briefly. Felt good while it lasted though.

Good to see Terry McGovern win the Featherweight Tournament making him a 2-time Champion (after a somewhat disappointing season)

Looks like McGovern and Griffo have a good rivalry going...

Griffo W-U12 McGovern (Season 1 - Round 4)
Griffo W-TKO12 McGovern (Season 1 - EOY Tournament Semis)
CH-Griffo W-U15 McGovern (Season 2 - Round 2)
McGovern W-TKO13 CH-Griffo (Season 2 - Round 8)
McGovern W-U15 CH-Griffo (Season 2 - EOY Tournament Finals)

Thanks to SAL and Romultiltus for all the effort you've put into making season two such an enjoyable one. I'm looking forward to season three and hoping my Assassins can win a match or two during it.

I gotta throw in here too. Scot, you've done an awesome job on the league. It is great fun!!! I've been in a number of leagues before - mostly baseball - you are the best commish I've come across. Thanks for the hard work. And Dave, we are lucky to have you aboard with everything you add. I am amazed at all the effort and most appreciative.

Okay, since we are all gladhanding, I have to throw out to the rest of the guys in the league. This is a fun bunch to hang with. Having a great time with the UTBA. It almost makes me sad to beat you guys...

And now, for a moment of history repeating itself:

Middleweight:

Season 1: (#1) Mickey Walker W-U15 (#3) Ken Overlin
Season 2: (#1) Mickey Walker W-TKO9 (#2) CH-Ken Overlin

Guess my boy Mick deserves the avatar back.

I would also like to say thanks to SAL, Romultiltus, and Umk for all the great work they've done for the UTBA.

As for the Almanac, I'll finish up recording the teams records against each other this weekend as schools gotten busy for me these last few days.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Much appreciated.

I would like to send out a big thank you to Dave for posting all of extra stats. He doesn't have to but it makes this league more enjoyable. I know he puts a lot of time in doing them because I have found that the most time consuming job I've had as commish is posting the records and updating the rosters and such.

Now...........down to business.

The rosters on page one have been updated. The draft pool in the Utba Draft thread has been updated as well with the additions of the Punching Gatito fighters.

The draft order is set. I say we can go ahead start drafting anytime.

Just post who you are taking in the draft thread and I'll updated the draft order announcing who you selected and place "your on the clock" beside the team that is next in the draft order.

When you see("your on the clock") next to your team, feel free to make a draft selection at anytime. No pressure on making a pick when it's your turn, I just thought if we can get this draft rolling, we might get done by Sunday.

Make sure to post who you are drafting in the Utba Draft thread. That's where I'll be watching for your picks. I'll keep the draft pool and the draft order up to date as quick as I can. If you see that it is your turn and I have not been on-line to update, feel free to go ahead and make your pick.

Changing the rule on aging.

I took the liberty this season of changing our aging structure just a little before any of the fighters started going Prime. Under the old rules, it was clear that after we extended the season from 7 to 10 team matches, that some fighters would be on their death bed after just 5 seasons. Below is the old and the new:

Old aging rules:
move to pre-prime........10 / 20
move to prime............20 / 50
move to post-prime.......30 / 65
move to end..............15 / 50
move to retired..........10 / 35

changed rules for aging in bold:
move to pre-prime........10 / 20
move to prime............20 / 50
move to post-prime.......65 / 80
move to end..............30 / 40
move to retired..........20 / 35

This will give fighters at worst a 6 seasons in the league and as much as 11 seasons.
