mh2365...

Really excited about the game pulling in fighters from the Database based on the year you start the sim......This can be a good side project while we wait as some Fighters do not have career years........I know most of us have pretty much every Fighter created, I think I will start working on this in my spare time, as I have already gone through most of Mike's LBA database and deleted duplicates and taken Fighters that are rated in multiple divisions and placed them in the Division they were most successful in. Of course I also only kept 8 divisions and moved all the JR Fighters to the next Division up.

Pulled this statement from Lee Skye in the "News Update" thread and wanted to know where your database is located? You must know by now, that I am always sniffing for new, created Hw fighter files! I couldn't find it at cornerworks. Is it available to public? Thanks.

January Update

Three titles will be on the line this month, EHBA, ICBA and USBA. In other news, many countries are in the process of running national tournaments to crown a heavyweight champion. Each individual national champion will represent their country in a regional tournament, CABO, EBU, ICBA, later this year. Jamaica recently concluded their tournament and crowned Simon Templar as their champion. He will represent Jamaica in the CABO Cup Tournament. These regional tournaments will be eventual qualifiers for the World Cup of Boxing.

Morales gets off the deck to win...

Erik Morales, Mexico, 1-0-0 (1) vs. Jaime Munguia, Mexico, 1-0-0 (1)

This is a fight between two hot prospects that are on their country’s list to participate in Mexico’s national tournament. Morales starts the fight off strong and lands some punches through Munguia’s defense. Oh, suddenly, Morales is sent flying to the canvas by a perfect hook. Morales is up at 9! (Man, I thought it was over!) As we enter the 2nd, it looks as though Morales was wise to stay down and take the whole count to clear his senses. He looks like he has completely recovered and aggressively pursues Munguia with solid punches. Morales was certainly the more highly regarded amateur prospect (Munguia rated “1”) but Munguia is beating Morales to the punch right now and is controlling this fight. Morales clearly takes the 4th and lands a shot that has caused a cut below his opponent’s eye. Morales is now bleeding from a cut on the right eyebrow opened from a blow by Munguia. Morales is in some serious trouble, 17-9, as the doctor looks at the cut and advises the ref to continue the fight. Munguia lands flush and the doctor is coming up to the ring for the second time. Morales is allowed to continue but his team has to be worried that a stoppage could occur at any time due to the cut. There seems to be some urgency now as Morales steps up the pressure and finishes the round strong, 18-6. Morales lands a devastating hook that sends Munguia into the ropes. Morales finishes the 7th strong and there is increasing swelling around the eyes of his opponent. Munguia’s corner is working hard to reduce the swelling around his left eye. Morales seems to be ahead as he outscores his opponent that round, 12-10. Both boxers are countering each other well as Morales wins another round, 18-13, as Munguia is fading. Morales sends Munguia down at the end of the 10th but he is able to get up and survive the round. In between the 11th and 12th, Munguia’s trainer was overheard telling his fighter that he needed to up the pace and go for the eye because that is the only way to win the fight right now. Morales completely dominates the 12th and 13th as the ref finally steps in to stop the fight at the 2:13 mark of the 13th. Munguia was completely exhausted and was taking a brutal beating 22-0. Winner, Erik Morales (TKO13). Cards: 116-110, 115-111, 115-111, all in favor of Morales. Punch stats: 60% - 23% Morales.

mh2365,

I was really worried for you...the doctor came to ringside 3 times! That "1" rated fighter was no joke!

I only fight 15-round fights in this universe. I know he is only starting out, but that's how every fight is done. I like having stamina and endurance playing a part in the outcomes of fights.

If Morales loses any of his first 10 fights, the Villebillie boxing gym would be looking for a new fighter.

Where is my list for his next opponent ...

Rampage goes to 3-0

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, USA, 2-0-0 (2) vs. Dick “Big Chief” Finkbonner, USA, 1-1-1 (1)

Both fighters enter the ring in tip-top shape and are eager to get in on. Rounds one and two go to Jackson but Finkbonner is easily getting inside of his defense to land some good combinations. Rampage does a better job of moving and feinting as he takes another round, 14-0. Round 4, more of the same, 23-4. Finkbonner is able to land and counter successfully here in the 5th, 16-16, but Jackson’s punches seem to have more sting to them. It looks like the “Big Chief” may have taken the 6th by a slight margin although Jackson finished the round off strong. Jackson has his man cornered and unleashes three bombs to easily take the 7th, 30-4. Jackson has really started to land a significant amount of punches here in the 7th and 8th rounds and finally puts Finkbonner away for good at the end of the 8th. Winner by (KO8), Quinton Jackson. Cards: 69-64, 69-63, 68-64, all in favor of Jackson. Punch stats: 45.9% - 44.7% Jackson.

I'm interested in getting another fighter signed to my management team as well. Is there a tournament coming up in the UK or Europe? UK Boxing Group would like Lloyd to be involved in it depending how he feels after his fight with Jim Fell.

Excellent, Finkbonner gave us exactly what we wanted from him a good tough fight that allowed Quinton to get some rounds under his belt. Fights like this are exactly what Rampage needs to adjust to the differences between MMA Boxing and pure Boxing before stepping in with top competition. As previously stated Rampage will be taking off the next month however if the US is running a national tournament next month then we would like it to be know that Muckboy Promotions would be willing to enter our fighter into the tournament. He can always rest after the tournament is over.

Your fighter will be sent an invitation as soon as your country settles on a list for invitees. I am pretty sure that Lloyd will be invited due to his performance and potential.

As far as another fighter goes, I am pretty sure you want a fighter that is ready to join the pros, still want Irish/British? Problem about that is, like I told you before, pretty much all those fighters are in uni already. But more than happy to let a responsible promotional/management company handle multiple fighters. Have an idea of a fighter that you are interested in?

Not sure about how the US is going to handle the determination of their invitees yet. Mr. Jackson will definitely be under consideration when the time comes for the US to decide who their representatives will be.

Taking January off. List for Feb will be posted as Jan fights get under way.

If the UK/Irish HW are bare, i'll conider management of European/Former Soviet Union HW's if they are available. If I could get a choice out of that region it would be Alexander Povetkin.

Does Villebillie Boxing Gym want to sign him to a contract and take him out of the national tournament or are you going to decide after viewing how he performs in the tournament?
