Povetkin is well under way in his career, 12-3-1 (9), but would probably be interested in new management since he is coming off a really bad loss to Australia's Sid Russell, 10-5-1 (7), that severely dropped his rankings out of sight to #1032. I can tell you that Russia is one of the countries that is going to have their national tournament this month, so if you are interested in signing Povetkin, let me know if he will be interested in accepting an invitation to that tournament.

I think after such a tough loss, Povetkin needs to rebuild his confidence. I'm willing to sign him but he will probably not be in the national tournament because we want to get his ranking back up and have him win some fights donestically before making any moves.

I'm interested in expanding my pool of fighters as well. I would like to sign Felix Savan to a Muckboy Promotions contract if possible.

New Signing...
The Villebillie Boxing Gym has signed Mexico's Chris Arreola and have mutually decided to pull his name out of the National Tournament of Mexico to concentrate on his professional career. Arreola is excited to get a fresh start and is looking forward to a successful relationship with his new team.

The UK Boxing Group expands it's boundaries...
The UK Boxing Group has decided to go outside of their country's borders to sign Russia's Alexander Povetkin. Povetkin was very disappointed in how his career was headed and has been looking for a new direction. Word is, Povetkin will not participate in Russia's National Tournament to concentrate on getting back into the European and World Rankings after his recent, bad loss.

Invitation to JC Chavez...
Mexico is looking for two fighters to fill spots in their National Tournament being held this month. Chris Arreola has decided to withdraw his name from the tournament and Erik Morales has declined. There are currently 14 spots that are filled. Invitations have been sent out to highly-regarded prospects, Julio Cesar Chavez, David Cabrera, Ismael Ruiz and talented amateur, Diego "Chico" Corrales. We have heard that Aztec Promotions and Chavez are mulling over a decision and will let the Mexican Boxing Federation know shortly. This could end up being one of the best national tournaments in the world with the potential match-ups of amateur superstars Julio Cesar Chavez, Fernando Vargas and Diego Corrales.

Muckboy (correct me, I thought it was Muckboys) Promotions is in negotiations with former amateur superstar and highly-regarded Cuban pro prospect, Felix Savan. Savan has told all interested suitors interested in signing him, that he will sign a professional contract only if he is allowed to participate in the Cuban National Tournament. Savan is very patriotic and has strong nationalistic feelings. He has often turned down the opportunity to turn pro and cash in on opportunities to fight in the states so that he could continue his amateur career and fight in the Olympics. Savan wants the chance to win Cuba's tournament to cement his reputation as the best Cuban boxer of all time. After the conclusion of the tournament, Savan wants to actively pursue the only other fighter mentioned in the same breath as Savan, Teofilo Stevenson. He wants to quickly build his record with an active schedule so that he will have a chance to challenge his fellow countryman for a professional title.

With Rampage Jackson, we've done and will do a fair bit of hand holding due to the fact that he is switching sports and his primary strength his wrestling is illegal in Boxing. However with Felix's long amateur career I personally see no reason for any hand holding and intended to set him on the fast track to the top. So Mr. Savan can rest assured that he will be competing in the Cuban National Tournament and after winning it he will get the best possible opponents to get him that Teofilo fight. Finally, since my family is from Cuba I want with all my heart to have the best Cuban fighter in the world under the Muckboys' banner.

Easy fight for Honeyghan...
Lloyd Honeyghan, UK, 2-0-0 (2) vs. Jim Fell, UK, 4-4-0 (2)
Fell is smothered by a barrage of punches and is down at the 1:10 mark here in the 1st round. Fell is up, no pun intended, and is allowed to continue. Honeyghan opens up the 2nd the way he did the 1st, with multiple punches and maintains control of the fight. Fell is unable to establish any kind of attack. Fell barely survives the 3rd, 29-2, as the ref looks at him carefully, deciding whether he should stop the fight or not. Fell is just unable to adjust to Honey Han’s aggressive attacks and speed. The ref steps in and stops the fight at the 1:59 mark of the 4th. Winner by (TKO4) is Lloyd Honeyghan. Cards: 30-26, 30-25, 30-25 all in favor of Honeyghan. Punch stats: 62.7% - 43.4% Honeyghan. |

Lloyd is interested in seeing who will be in the upcoming UK tournament. Him and UK Boxing group will sit down and discuss what will be best at this point once he sees what lies ahead.
Also looking to set up Alexander Povetkin's opponent for next month. |
