Shelburg is back on the scene...
Jeff Shelburg, USA, 1-0-0 (1) vs. Herb Zimmerman, USA, 0-1-0 (0)
After a brief hiatus, Shelburg steps back into the ring for his second pro fight. His handlers wanted to get some training in because his first fight ended so abruptly. There is a “buzz” in the room tonight as the fans are anxious to see if Shelburg can continue to dispatch opponents in such a quick fashion. Well, it looks as though Herb Zimmerman didn’t read the newspaper about the pro debut of his opponent because he came out swinging without any fear of getting hit. This fight has already surpassed the length of Jeff Shelburg’s first fight as the bell rings to end the round. Round 2 is a pretty even round although Zimmerman was warned twice for fouling. Shelburg lands some nice shots, 18-6 and has Zimmerman stunned here in the 3rd. Zimmerman is hurt again in the 4th but responds again by countering the hard shots delivered by his opponent. Shelburg lands a strong hook and Zimmerman is down on his back with 2:40 left in the round. That is it! Another exciting finish to a Shelburg fight. People are starting to notice and are hoping that he can be the next hard-hitting terror to rule the heavyweight division. Winner: Shelburg Result: (KO5) Cards: 38-38, 38-38, 39-37 Shelburg. Punch Stats: 55.2% - 34.6% Zimmerman |

Action-packed fight, crazy finish...
Chris Arreola, Mexico, 10-5-1 (6) vs. Orlando Reverberi, 9-5-1 (6)
Arreola is making his first appearance since signing with a completely new team, The Villebillie Boxing Gym. Arreola is anxious to get started in a new direction and has been training with more focus and intensity. Round one is under way, and Arreola is stalking his opponent. Both men land some nice shots but Arreola is constantly pushing the action, 12-6. Pretty even round, 10-10, here in the 2nd. Reverberi needs to land some hard punches to get the attention of his opponent because Arreola continues to swarm all over him, landing 20-2, in the 3rd. The 4th and 5th rounds are filled with exchanges as neither fighter seems to be pacing himself. Arreola is cut here in the 5th under the right eye. There is some serious concern in the corner as his handlers are working to stop the bleeding. These middle rounds are too close to call. Arreola’s corner has done a good job of stopping the flow of blood. Reverberi is staggered here in the 7th but the time runs out of the round before Arreola can capitalize on the situation. Round 9, 8-4, for Arreola, as both fighters start to slow down, possibly from fatigue. Arreola lands a violent body shot and sends his opponent down with :15 seconds left in the 10th. The Argentinian is up and is able to finish the round. Arreola seems to be getting stronger as he continues to press the action in the 11th, 14-6. Another good round for Arreola, 12-4, in the 12th. Arreola is taking another round, but suddenly is hit by a wild overhand right that sends him to the canvas. He is up at the count of 9 and survives the last :15 seconds. That round could have a big effect on the outcome of the fight as we get set to enter the 14th. Reverberi sends Arreola down for the 2nd time in the fight with under 20 seconds left in the round. Arreola is up and allowed to continue. The last two rounds have definitely changed the momentum of the fight. Arreola is in big trouble as he gave up two consecutive 10-8 rounds. The fight has been filled with action all night long. Arreola doesn’t have the energy to land any punches here in the last round and now he has to hope that the work he did in the middle rounds can offset the two knockdowns that he suffered. The fight goes to the scorecards. Winner: Arreola Result: (SD15) Cards: 142-141 Arreola, 142-141 Reverberi, 143-140 Arreola. Punch stats: 24.6% - 51.2% Reverberi |

Felix Savan will be taking on fellow countryman Carlos Hernandez in Feb. After such a great run in the National Tournament we feel like Savan needs to keep the momentum going and grab a few more wins. Admittedly, we don't have alot of info on Carlos but at 5-2 he is the most successful fighter on the list so he fits with our mission of giving Savan the toughest fights possible.

It was one entertaining fight but like Morales' fight, I was thinking of the stress that your fighters are putting you through. No easy fights for the Villebillie Gym! I didnt put it up there when I listed the fighters, but this was a rematch fight. The first fight ended in a draw so obviously these fighters always box it out really close.

I don't know if you want to limit how many fighters we can manage but if/when Edwin Rosario, Jose Medel, or Candido Tellez show up in the league I want to add them to the company. No way, I could let the core of my Muckboy team be in this uni without managing them.

If I am correct, you chose Hobson for Lloyd's next fight in Feb? I am on the verge of ending January. I need to finish the mass fights, already done with title and managerial/promotional fights. Hopefully, will be starting Feb, tonight (your morning) and getting into the managed fights by tomorrow (Saturday). Your fight will be the 2nd one up on the Feb schedule.
