Yeah, it makes scouting a little harder. Remember, I had to make a lot of HW files for Puerto Rico because I needed 50 to have a local regional title. I based it on boxrec and if you go there, you can tell that most of these guys are not very good at all. Maybe a few "2"s but most are "1"'s. So dont worry, take your time, I know you will be doing some investigative work. Besides, I still have four more title fights and the mass schedule to go over before May.

WBC Championship

WBC Title Fight - Superdome, New Orleans, LA, USA

[Champion] Larry Holmes, USA, 19-2-0 (15) vs [2/4] Rocky Marciano, USA, 21-3-0 (20)

Holmes makes his first title defense after winning the title in December 1953, from Mike Tyson. Holmes looks like he never left the ring after the Tyson win and continues to set everything up with his stiff jab, 20-7. Marciano counters a jab from Holmes with a wicked hook to the head that puts Holmes down in the 2nd. Holmes comes back and regains control in the 3rd, 21-7. Holmes, 20-7, keeps fighting from the outside in the 4th and has won three out of the four rounds. Marciano gets inside of Holmes reach and lands a right cross that puts the champ down to the canvas. Marciano cannot finish the fight but takes the 10-8 round by a score of 24-0. Holmes again recovers well from a previous knockdown and takes the round convincingly, 13-2. Marciano is treating the champ like a bowling pin as Holmes goes down for the third time in the fight. Marciano wins the round, 22-7. The champ responds again with a 24-8, 9th round. Marciano's left eye is a real concern between round. The swelling started in the 2nd and worsened in the 4th, but hasn't been too much of an issue until now. Marciano puts Holmes down for the 4th time in the 13th. Holmes has shown a heart of a champion even though he looks completely exhausted. And amazingly Holmes puts Marciano down at the 1:00 mark of the 14th with a combination. Marciano is up but is tasting the canvas again at the 2:41 mark of the round. Marciano gets up again but the referee stops the fight in a remarkable turnaround of events. Holmes gets off the deck four times to retain his WBC belt. This may have just surpassed the Charles-Walcott fight earlier this month as the fight of the year!

Winner: Holmes
Result: (TKO14)
Cards: 122-120, 123-119, 122-121, all three cards in favor of Marciano.
Punch stats: 67.3% - 33.5% Holmes

Zhytomyr, Ukraine

Lamon Brewster, USA, 21-4-0 (18) vs Wladimir Klitschko, Ukraine, 16-4-0 (13)

Klitschko knocks Brewster down once in the 9th, twice in the 11th, and once in the 13th as the ref finally steps in and stops the fight at the 2:27 mark of the 13th due to a severe gash.

Winner: Klitschko
Result: (TKO13)
Cards: 116-108, 114-109, 116-107, all three cards in favor of Klitschko.
Punch stats: 45.7% - 18.8% Klitschko

Thanks. Yeah, I am hoping for a Norton/Louis unification bout. I was a bit surprised at some of the upsets lately. Ali losing to Tom Sharkey and Holmes retaining against Marciano.

Good bouts that month for sure. I leave unifications entirely up to Random Numbers .. if two champs are scheduled to fight in the same month they have a 25% chance of it being a unification bout.

I try to not interfere either and let the random generator pick the number for the fights. Remember, thats why I said, as a manager of a promotional fighter, that if you dont get picked for a mandatory title defense, you can always request a fight to keep busy. Havent had a unification bout yet, just was hoping for one.

To all managers...

Sorry been away a little bit. Just letting you know that tomorrow morning would probably be the best time to check in on what has happened in May because I am going to get to a lot of the promotional, if not all, fights later tonight. I will also post the remaining schedules for Ketchel, Cane, and Povetkin. Thanks for your continued interest.
