EBU Championship

EBU Title Fight - Casino di Campione, Lecco, Lombardia, Italy

[Champion] Franco Cavicchi, Italy, 13-1-0 (9) vs [4/54] Ingemar Johansson, Sweden, 16-1-0 (15)

A wonderful fight is controversially stopped in the 13th round at the 1:54 mark due to cuts over the eye of Johansson. Ingo's corner cannot believe that the ref stopped the fight as all the momentum was in favor of their man. We have the fight even at 113-113. Johansson won the last two rounds after going down in the 7th and 8th rounds. Cavicchi was down in the 6th. Cavicchi successfully defends his EBU Title.

Winner: Cavicchi
Result: (TKO13)(Cuts)
Cards: 114-112, on all three cards in favor of Johansson.
Punch stats: 222-782, 28.4% Johansson - 186-725, 25.7% Cavicchi

CABO Championship

CABO Title Fight - Guantanamo, Cuba

[Champion] Teofilo Stevenson, Cuba, 21-5-0 (20) vs [2/52] Ivan Camacho, Cuba, 11-1-0 (10)

After giving Stevenson a much tougher fight than most expected, Camacho is stopped in the 12th round at the 2:48 mark. Stevenson retains his CABO belt. Many people believed that Stevenson's handlers took a lightly regarded opponent for his title defense instead of taking a chance with Canadian's Walls 13-1-0 (10), Paul 12-0-0 (11), Chuvalo 15-5-1 (15), Brown 17-4-0 (15), Cleroux 19-2-0 (17) or Langford 20-5-0 (19). Stevenson has defeated Chuvalo twice and lost to Langford in a previous match. Stevenson's manager is quick to point out that Camacho was the #2 ranked CABO contender behind Langford and was ranked pretty high in the world rankings.

Winner: Stevenson
Result: (TKO12)
Cards: 108-101, 108-100, 108-100, all three cards in favor of Stevenson
Punch stats: 176-521, 33.8% Camacho - 433-743, 58.3% Stevenson

Winner: Skelton
Result; (KO5)
Cards: 39-37 Skelton, 40-36 Skelton, 38-38.

Brady Center, Tulsa, OK, USA

[41] Apollo Creed, USA, 17-4-0 (13) vs [51] Jimmy Ellis, USA, 18-2-0 (9)

This has to be the most incredible fight ever in the history of TBCB! Creed is down twice in the fight, 5th & 7th, and is behind in points and knocks down Ellis in the 15th. Ellis gets back up and is knocked down again with no time on the clock, 0:00. The ref gets to a count of 10 and Ellis cannot get to his feet! I have never seen a fight finish like this before in all my life! Creed was in jeopardy of falling out of the rankings again after working his way back up since his defeat to Larry Foley in Australia. This incredible ending will help Creed to continue on his pace for a chance at a title shot.

Winner: Creed
Result: (KO15)
Cards: 133-132 Creed, 134-130 Ellis, 133-131 Ellis
Punch stats: 316-1017, 31.1% Creed - 370-668, 55.4% Ellis

Winner: Dempsey
Result: (TKO12)
Cards: 107-103, 106-104, 108-102, leading on all three cards in favor of Dempsey
Punch stats: 339-734, 46.2% Dempsey - 237-696, 34.1% Jeannette

WBO Championship

WBO Title Fight - Cintas Center, Cincinnati, OH, USA

[Champion] Joe Louis, USA, 20-1-0 (19) vs. [6/12] Harry Matthews, USA, 21-4-0 (19)

This will be the first shot at a title for Harry Matthews while Joe Louis will be fighting in his ninth title fight. Louis is currently 8-0-0 (8), with 3KO, 5TKO’s and is making his 8th title defense of his WBO Title. The champ opens up in the 1st round and controls the round. Matthews puts up a good showing and keeps rounds 2-4 close and up for grabs. Matthews is staying in front of Louis and trading shots with the champ. Louis looks a bit shocked and confused because Matthews is unfazed by Louis’ shots and the fight is definitely close and up in the air right now. Louis has a good 8th, but the referee has taken a point away for using his shoulder too much after being warned in the previous rounds. Louis has started to wear Matthews down and is taking control of this fight, 28-0, in the 9th. A clean right cross puts Matthews down and out at the 2:54 mark of the 11th round. Matthews was definitely in this fight by our accounts but just wore down due to the pressure and power punching of the “Brown Bomber.”

Winner: Louis
Result: (KO11)
Cards: 95-93, 95-93, 97-91, all three cards in favor of Louis
Punch stats: 173-526, 32.9% Matthews - 291-719, 40.5% Louis

WBA Championship - Norton's reign comes crashing down!

WBA Title Fight - Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, NV, USA

[Champion] Chuck “No Doubt” Norton, USA, 26-0-0 (25) vs. [1/3] Mike Tyson, USA, 19-2-1 (18)

Norton is making his 8th title defense of his WBA Title, while Tyson is taking part in his 10th world title fight, going 7-1-1 (7), 3KO, 4TKO. Tyson lands a right hook and puts Norton down with 2:41 left in the opening round! Norton gets to his feet but is in a whole world of trouble! Tyson sends the champ down again and Norton suffers his first ever defeat as he is unable to get up at the 2:41 mark of the 1st round.

Winner: Tyson
Result: (KO1)
Cards: N/A
Punch stats: 53-107, 49.5% Tyson - 0-0, 0% Norton

Wow, I thought 'No Doubt' would have a tough outing against Tyson, but a 1st round KO was not the result I expected.

Yeah, but I guess its pretty tough to fight when you get bum-rushed and eat leather within the first 15 seconds of the fight. Hell, he didnt even get a chance to throw a punch!

If you don't mine me asking, whats Chucks overall rating? I am guessing around a 13-14.

I also cant believe how quickly you have gotten your uni rolling. Mines been going longer but your # of views and replies already dwarfs mine.

It helps that he incorporated other users in the mix too. Btown has a great uni going here.

The Creed/Ellis fight was crazy, great fight. I can't believe Tyson blew through Norton so easily.

Great fight ... I had one that was outstanding in the LBA between Billy Papke and Tommy Ryan ... but it wasn't a KO15 with no time on the clock. It looks like even if Ellis had gotten up he would have lost.

Fight sounds like something out of Rocky.

Chuck is a "13." What I do for my own created fictional fighters is base their style on a real fighter and use his ratings with slight adjustments. Chuck Norton is similiar to Joe Frazier. Frazier is a "12." Norton also hits harder.

Like Mike said, the views and posts are high because some of the forum members have been participating in my universe by promoting some fighters. It makes the universe a lot of fun and more interesting because there are different directions that each month can result in. Also, when each promoter gets his fighter close to title shots, the world will really get interesting. Mike and Arreola have already won a regional title (MBF) Mexican Boxing Federation and he has a mandatory defense next month. a87star and Calzaghe just won the (BBC) British Boxing Council title over Lennox Lewis this month.

Definitely sounds like a Rocky fight. Yeah, it looks like Ellis would've had a 10-7 round on the cards and would've ended up losing a decision. I just have never seen a fight finish like that in all the years that I have been playing. I have seen one guy score some knockdowns and then ended up getting knocked down a couple of times. I have seen both fighters with a lot of damage. But this is the first time that a fight ended with a KO with no time left in the 15th. Good to know that it is possible in the engine though.

Sort of disappointing though. I thought it would be a much better fight. I am a little depressed, as a lot of you were in your uni's (from what I have been reading) when your undefeated champions finally lost. But, it was due and is good for the uni because it shows that my guys arent unbeatable and that I dont interfere with the results. Also disappointing because I never got to the unification bout between Norton and Louis.
