Press Release

In a statement from former UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, "I'd like to announce my announcement of retirement from the UFC and the Mixed Martial Arts world. I came and conquered. The UFC is trying to buy every single fighters contract so that they can control who they want to see as their champions. They wanted to set up a Cro Cop - Liddell match but that got high-kicked to hell. So the UFC purchases my contract from Pride so that they can publicize another money-making fight. They dont want someone like me representing the UFC. I am too real, my fans are too hardcore and we dont take no shi@! I told Dana White to wait and build me up so that the fight would be more attractive, like me, and would make us more money! But of course, the MAN knows best...Dana figured his boy would win and they would be able to continue to ride the popularity of Mr. Mohawk. But, down goes Liddell, down goes Liddell. Look how Dana treated Tito. Tito made the UFC a lot of money, but they wanted to push Couture and Liddell. And how about that @itch ass, countryboy, Matt Hughes. Man, that guy was boring, had no personality and lost to anybody that was really good. Beating a guy named "Twinkletoes" twice, what the @uck! I told em sometimes you dont get what you want, right Chuck?! Anyways, I am going to be the first ever to win both a MMA championship and a world boxing heavyweight title. I have allowed Muckboys Promotions the privilege to manage me and together we will crush anybody that tries to stop me from accomplishing my future accomplishments."

Thanks Javier. Yes, they have a good chance. But because I have so many fighters going on at one time in the universe, they have to get to the top of the rankings to have a shot. Ivan Drago has had the best chance so far. Drago had a WBO title bout for the initial, vacant WBO belt vs Joe Louis on 1952-09-30 and lost by (TKO1). Drago also had a WBA title bout vs Champion Chuck Norton on 1953-02-28 and lost by (TKO5). Rocky Balboa is scheduled to have a shot at the IBF title vs Champion Rocky Marciano this month, November. Union Cane and Mason Dixon just started their professional careers so it may take awhile for them to get into the rankings. Creed just lost to undefeated Larry Foley in Australia so he will probably have to wait while accumulating some more quality wins. Clubber Lang had a nice win on the same card in Australia and has moved into the 60th spot. And finally, Tommy Gunn is now ranked #105 after thoroughly beating Tommy Morrison. Thanks for the interest.

Muckboys Promotions announces...

Rampage's 1st fight will be in November against another young American fighter making his professional debut, Jihad Abdulaziz. Jackson is telling everybody that he is going to protect America,"by getting rid of another terrorist."

With a brilliant name like Jihad Abdulaziz we at Muckboy Promotion could not pass up the chance of getting Mr.Abdulaziz in the ring. We're almost sorry that we have to give Mr.Adulaziz a loss in his pro debut. I know there are people in the boxing world who don't believe that Rampage stands a chance in boxing well they'll be in for a surprise come November. People doubted Rampage when he fought Cyril Abidi in K-1 but that didn't stop Rampage from scoring a KO1 and then taking a decision in the rematch. Rampage is on the express train to the top of the boxing world so some advice to Rocky Marciano, Chuck Norton, Mike Tyson, and Joe Lous lose the belts now cause you don't what to be around when he gets there.

Stankvich Exhibition

Sources at GCG Promotions responed to Les Bowtell's comments about their fighter today. "Mr Bowtie can talk all he wants it just adds fuel to George's fire. We consider this an exhibition in which George will be able to showcase his talent and possibly show the fans a good old fashioned Vaudeville performance with Bowtie being the inept Keystone Cops. We hope Mr Bowtie will at least allow George to break a sweat."

Sources tell us that three of the four heavyweight titles will be on the line as WBA Champion Chuck Norton, WBC Champion Mike Tyson and IBF Champion Rocky Marciano will all be in action. Tyson has already signed a contract to defend his title against Evander "The Real Deal" Holyfield. Holyfield is the only man to ever defeat "Iron" Mike and Holyfield had Tyson down five times in that fight. Tyson and Holyfield II ended prematurely as a technical draw due to a cut suffered by Holyfield. Tyson wants to end all speculation that he is ducking Holyfield and has told the press that this fight will be over very quickly. Unconfirmed reports have it that Marciano will be facing a fellow Italian from Philadelphia, named Rocky Balboa. Balboa and Marciano met on the set while shooting the Soprano's feature length movie. Marciano wants to show that he has a big heart and hasnt forgot where his family originally came from. There is tremendous support for this fight within the Italian community. "The Italian Stallion," Rocky Balboa, is not currently ranked and many boxing experts and fans dont like the fact that Marciano is taking a relatively easy fight. Harry Wills, Joe Frazier, Muhammad Ali and Larry Holmes all believe that they have much better credentials and are being passed over. The NAACP is protesting this fight, citing the rankings and records of Balboa compared to the previous boxers mentioned. We will keep you up to date as this story continues to unfold.
And it gets even better for fight fans...Joe Louis will step into the ring in November also, one month after defeating Max Schmeling, to defend his WBO title. Louis wants to be a part of the greatest month in heavyweight championship boxing history. Louis will defend against "Smokin" Joe Frazier. Incredibly, all four world heavyweight titles will be on the line this month. Finally, Canada's Sam Langford, will defend his WHBA title versus Earnie Shavers.

WBA Champion, Chuck Norton and his management team has decided to take a title defense against the number one ranked contender, Harry Wills. Norton and his camp wanted to give an opportunity to a publicly voted challenger for a Thanksgiving Day fight, but both of the top voted fighters (Ken Norton and Apollo Creed) lost their last fight. Norton may still proceed with his idea, but may move the fight to New Years Day.

ESPN - Friday Night Fights

Rampage wins debut, Beastman issues challenge.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, USA, Pro Debut vs. Jihad Abdulaziz, USA, Pro Debut

Jackson is making his professional boxing debut here on ESPN. We have a special guest with us, Marvin “The Beastman” Eastman, who will access Jackson’s first attempt at boxing. Eastman is also a former Mixed Martial Artist who has also taken up professional boxing. Both fighters are coming into this fight in excellent shape. Rampage looks like the much bigger fighter. There’s the bell…and Jackson comes out winging punches. Abdulaziz absorbs a three-punch combo followed by a right and then a left hook. Abdulaziz is down with 1:07 left in the 1st. Abdulaziz is up but looks like he is out on his feet. Oh, another straight right and Abdulaziz looks like Chuck Liddell, “Iced!” Rampage Jackson makes a huge splash in his first boxing bout and stops Abdulaziz here (KO1) at the 2:48 mark. Well, Marvin, I guess we wont have the time to talk about this fight in depth but what is your opinion of Jackson’s debut? “Well, I can see that Muckboys Promotions did a really good job of picking a scrub to fight so that their boy could start his career padding his record. I wonder how many stiffs are going to be lined up for their guy. I would love a shot at ending this farce. I know that he stopped me in his last MMA fight before Liddell, but this is stand-up boxing and I am much more skilled at this then him. Rampage is just trying to make a buck banking off his 15-minutes of fame from his win over Liddell. We’ll see how serious he is if he gives me a chance to knock his ass out!” Wow, we have controversy here on the first night of Jackson’s career. Personally, I like Jackson’s chance of moving up in the heavyweight division if he can continue to work on developing his boxing skills.

Normally, we wouldn't even dignify such a desperate ploy by some guy to hitch himself to Rampage's coattails and try to gain some attention that he would be unable to get on his own. However, after a long talk with Rampage after the fight we agreed to make an exception in this case. We know that Rampage is by far the better fighter then Eastmen but their still tied 1-1 so Rampage looks forward to making sure the world knows that Eastmen was lucky to win that first fight and that Rampage is just on another level then him. Like Rampage said after learning about Eastmen's challenge "We're ready for some Black on Black crime." Frankly, I'll be shocked if Eastmen lasts as long as Jihad Abdulaziz did.

Black on Black

Like you said before, having Rampage here is great even if it were only for his quotes!

The second I saw the Eastman issues challenge part of the headline I knew that I had to work in Rampage's Black on Black crime quote. It would have been wrong if I hadn't it needed to happen.

This should make for an interesting pro boxing career. Hopefully, Rampage can steadily climb through the ranks and have some competitive bouts versus big-name heavyweights.
