Thanks, mh2365. Was wondering how some of the loyal basement followers would take to mixing fictional with historical fighters. Hope Tommy took care of that question, Javier? I know that I have some MMA followers here, plus I had already had created his file. I have one more MMA fighter that I may add down the road, "The Russian Experiment," possibly the best, big fighter in MMA overall in my opinion.

I agree. I think everybody reads the other universes and borrows ideas from each other that they like. Then they tweak little parts here and there to try to create a unique world. I know that I enjoy reading the threads with storylines instead of just results. I also like the older, historical universes because I dont have the knowledge of those fighters. I was going to ask everybody who spends time in this thread if they like reading the results of fights with a little play-by-play or if they enjoy the stats and just plain results better? I am a statistical person by nature, and that is why I have always enjoyed simulated games more than graphic games. Lots of people disagree with me, and I guess that is why I have always had to play solo. I guess that is why I enjoy being able to share what is going on in my universe. Thanks to everybody who responds and shows interest in my thread.

Hey, not my fault, Apollo has to handle his business when he fights and has opportunities. I am sure he will get his chance in the future, but he needs to win those top 50-100 ranked fights.

Just in case you may have some interest: There are a few amateurs getting ready to start their pro careers from Mexico and they dont have a management team yet. Erik Morales, Mexico Jose Luis Castillo, Mexico Julio Cesar Chavez, Mexico Diego Corrales, Mexico Fernando Vargas, Mexico I know that both Corrales and Vargas both fought under USA, but if I am correct, both were of Mexican nationality. Let me know if you are interested in managing one of their careers through the universe. Last edited by btown32 : 06-03-2007 at 07:45 PM. |

Javier,
Your promotion team needs to select a fighter. You will then choose fights for your fighter as each month goes along. I will put up a list of fighters for you to look over and to choose your next fight from each month. First, let me know who Aztec Promotions wants to promote and manage. We can just communicate through this thread or you can pm me here on the forum if you really need any other info. |

Stankovich remains undefeated...
Les Bowtell, Australia 1-1-0 (0) vs. George Stankovich, New Zealand, 1-0-0 (1)
Not much action to report here in the 1st, as both men seem to be feeling each other out. Stankovich starts out the 2nd with a nice left-right combination but Bowtell steals the round in the last minute with a flurry of punches that scored. A right cross by Bowtell lands and opens a cut inside the right eyebrow with 1:17 left in the 3rd. The referee is ruling that the cut was caused by an accidental head butt. The Kiwi lands a shot and down goes Bowtell with 1:24 remaining in the 4th. Bowtell is up and barely finishes the round standing up. Stankovich had a 10-8 round while landing and scoring 26-4. Bowtell is down twice in the 5th but manages to survive the onslaught of punches 29-4. The referee is looking very closely at Bowtell. Two jabs, a straight right, another jab, an uppercut, a tremendous left, another inside uppercut, another uppercut, a punch after a Bowtell miss and finally the ref steps in and stops the fight. The Kiwi out pointed Bowtell that round, 23-2. Winner and still undefeated, George Stankovich by (TKO6). |

New Prospect from Mexico
We have just received a report out of Mexico, that a hot, young amateur prospect named Julio Cesar Chavez is going to make his professional debut later this month. Chavez comes by way of Mexico and has decided to be represented by Aztec Promotions. Aztec Promotions enters the fight game prepared to do battle with other such boxing companies and management teams as G.C.G. Promotions, Muckboys Promotions , and the Lee Skye Management Team. Chavez is known for his great endurance, durability, outstanding boxing skills and willingness to fight frequently. Chavez has a loyal fan base that supports him wherever he goes. Aztec Promotions will be looking over a list to see who they will pick for Chavez's first professional opponent. We will receive word about the fight and report it to you later this evening.

This uni looks excellent. I'm wondering can I throw my hat into the fray and start a promotion team myself? I would like to represent some of the Irish and UK HW's (since my roots come from there).
Keep up the good work b-town. |
