Rounds 5 and 6 slow down dramatically, but Hagler steps it up a little, 21-3, in the 7th. Clifford is doing a good job of hanging around in the fight although he probably hasn’t won a round. Until the 10th, where Clifford has Hagler hurt and outscores him, 15-12. Hagler puts Clifford down for the first time in the 12th round, 24-7, and has a big lead with 3 rounds left. And unbelievably, Clifford goes the distance in a somewhat disappointing win for Hagler.

A left uppercut puts Anis down again at the end of the 8th and even though he is able to get up again, the ref stops the fight.

Calzaghe is going to be rated #17 in the world. (I can't believe how fast he got up the rankings!)

He is also EHBA#1 ranked contender in line for shot at World ranked #14, and EHBA Champion, Vitali Klitschko.

If/when a mandatory EBU title fight comes up, the EBU#1 ranked contender is Russia's, Sergei Kobozev followed by EBU#2 ranked Wladimir Klitschko from Ukraine.

The EBU title does not have to be relinquished if fighting for the EHBA title. If you lose the fight for the EHBA belt, then the EBU title would be vacated, though. Of course, both the EBU and EHBA would have to be forfeited for a World title opportunity.
