Everyone,

The game froze again and I had to ctrl+alt+del to exit program. Of course, I got the dreaded no ratings bug again. I restarted computer. I used the run as administrator function. It opens but only opens to one universe. No matter if I change the database while running as administrator and close to reopen, it then goes back to no ratings bug. Doesnt matter what db I input, always reopens as no ratings bug. I am tired of all these problems. Everytime I try to run as administrator it opens as the same universe even with a different database name on the bottom of the title page. So, if I cant get it to work, I am going to wait until the new game or just stop this universe. I want to keep it going but am tired of all this b.s. I waste so much time trying to fix this crap. Why does the exe.function freeze so much. I keep the game open like Mike does and rarely close it. But when I tried to close to open another universe it froze and wouldnt run the exe.function. It is not like I am turning my computer off, it is the program itself. I may try later this week, but right now I am just pissed off.

Even just tried deleting the program and redownloading. Then tried to open and still had the no ratings bug.

I would just put things on hold until the new game is released. I had this happen and it almost made me stop playing the game because i was so pissed.

I am going to follow that advice. I just experimented with importing this universe into the 2.5.17 build and it transferred over well. So, I am just going to wait until the final 2.5 release until I continue with the universe. Sorry fellas, but I think this is the best idea because of all the troubles that I have been running into with the 2.0 game.

Mike, man I am like you and just can't wait to transfer my universe over because of all the great features. This version is going to make life so much easier to run a big or more complex universe. I have been experimenting with aging in an Mexican universe right now. I plan on starting a huge, one weight universe when the 2.5 version comes out. Also, a nonfictional HW uni. Just getting all my default data organized.

Hope to see all of the promotional teams back when the 2.5v is released!

Yeah ... Like I said I think the new version will take about 30% time off my months. Just being able to mass edit "include in autoscheduler" will save me a ton of time.

Also with the save feature I won't need to record their PP in the notes anymore to make sure they are correct.

Also I won't need to score the fights I watch on a 3x5 card either since I will be one of the judges!

Yep, a lot of the pencil and paper stuff will be able to be handled with just a few clicks now. So much time will be saved with the mass editing function and multiple group ability. The rfg is an amazing feature also. Like it was mentioned in the beta section, there are some ratings that are skewed, but it sure does add a whole new aspect of creating fighters for universes.

I am pushing on but cannot wait for the 2.5 official release. I would really like to expand my uni but am a bit limited by amount of fighters and the amount of manual work i have to do. Not sure how you guys with large universes do it. I think i am up 4 or 5 spreadsheets for different info.

The 2.5 release will make your life a lot easier. BTW, good to see that you got your uni back up and running and like the newspaper editions.

Thanks. The newspaper is a bit limited but i figured it would be cool for title fights or special ocassions. I have played around with 2.5 and agree there are a whole bunch of great things.

You aren't the only one that can't use 2.5 right now

I just can't use it without the rankings being back to where they were .. it would totally fubar my universe.

Yeah, but remember, at least you have the ability to use 2.0. I am dead in the water because I cant even run tbcb2.0, cant get it to work or open and my universe is screwed up. I have been waiting for this release so that I can import and edit. Now, I cant even play the game. I am stuck with the ability to do nothing but watch other people enjoy their new universes. Just been adjusting my main database with all my files and have been putting them in all their groups. This really sucks!
