Quite a few are part of the testing though outside of the DB Group there hasn't been that much activity lately with that so I don't think that is the only reason for the slow down.

Boston clinches spot and home field in LCS!

I'm actually a Braves fan but I'm a bit disappointed with how the playoffs have gone so far. Outside of those two great games on Friday there hasn't been much drama. I was also hoping either the Phils or Cubs would be in the World Series but that's gone up in flames.

I miss my Wife

My Wife went back to New York for a few days to visit her Family, and I was unable to go due to Football and work. I actually thought it would be cool to hang out with some friends and watch some games, and get some NCAA 2K8 and TBCB time in and basically just relax, which it has been nice, but......Truth is I miss her a ton, so it hasn't been as fun as I thought, in fact the highlights are the two or three times a day she calls to say Hi and fill my in on her trip...........

What's wrong with me Guys, am I just getting soft in my old age?

I recognize myself when I read this. I went on a businestrip some time ago and I had to spend the night (one night!) away from home. On the way down I thought that it would be nice to have an evening on my own, take a walk in town, eat something at a restaurant and just relax..Yeah right. I checked in to the hotel, called Maria and talked for a while. When I hung up I realized that I missed her and the kids and that it wasn't any fun at all to sleep away from home. So basically all I did was taking a shower, laid down in bed, turned the tv on and then I passed out in bed and woke up in the morning. No walk, no food, no nothing...

Don't know if it helps but you are not alone

I've decided to start doing an NFL dynasty again using www.whatifsports.com. It'll be like the last one I was doing (only better ) and will be posted in the Talk Sports forum to maximise readership. There'll be a link to it in my signature for those in the TBCB forum who don't venture north much so I hope a lot of you decide to follow along with it.

Like my last one it will start in 1983 but will include all 28 NFL teams. I'll be making the first post within the next 24 hours.

You know, this looks like the perfect place to talk about minor league sports, movies, television shows, and what not. The community has a place to talk about this stuff and new comers are not put off by non-boxing topics in the TBCB General Discussions Forum, which was, after all, set up to discuss the game and boxing. Everyone wins.

Great idea!

Lee, you are officially getting old.

My wife and kids went to Europe for a holiday. Like you guys I thought it would be fun to do stuff on my own. In a very short time I found myself wandering aimlessly around the house, talking to my dog Max, and wondering what the rest of the family was doing. The highlights of the week were the infrequent long distance calls from my wife where she'd start off cheerily describing their trip then start crying because she missed the dog and me in that order. Next comes the warm cardigan, slippers and reading glasses.

If anyone cares, my favorite shows of all-time

1. Twilight Zone (Serling's original)
2. Twin Peaks
3. X-Files
4. MASH
5. Probably whatever floats my boat the moment. Law & Order was really good for a long time, but it's become the Evander Holyfield of TV, will it ever go away? Picket Fences maybe . . . Six Feet Under was very good, so was Oz, hard to compare shows from pay TV to network though.

6. Herman's Head
7. Barney Miller
8. All In The Family
9. The Jeffersons
10. Law & Order

Edited list after first snap reaction with a second snap

Book'em Dano . . . I was really close to putting Rockford files on my list . . it would be on the fringes of the Top 10.

the answering machine messages at the beginning were usually good for a laugh, too . . . "Jim, there's a guy named Angel Martin trying to charge $90 worth of groceries to your account. What should we do?"

(then immediate kick-in to one of the best TV theme songs ever)

A question for anyone in the know...

Is Sal heavily involved in the beta testing for the new game? Just wondering because he hasn't been here in almost two months.

I do believe that SAL is part of the Beta Team I remember him posting in there once but unless he's been contracting people by email he hasn't been active with it. I think he has just stopped coming by the boards hopefully it's just that he has been busy these last couple of months and he'll make a return soon.
