Combine his shoulder and back problems with the fact that he wouldn't be able to pitch in Coors ....

Snyder, not Tavarez, for the spot surprised me a bit . . but it's the 11th pitcher spot, no big deal I guess.

That makes me wonder as well ... Tavarez was a big help this year

Both Rogue and Primeval were made around the same time but the producers of Rogue decided to push it back because of how similar it was to Primeval.

They so ripped off the Jaws poster for that one.

Been a golden few years for you, Mike. I've had my Tigers in '05 and the Braves back in '95. I guess I could also include the New Jersey Devils but I don't follow the ice hockey with any sort of dedication (I only liked them because of the Seinfeld episode when they go to the game with Puddy and he paints his face. "The Devils! The Devils!! AHHHH!!!").

"So my acting technique ... my, personal acting technique, is working with color. Imagining color, then finding the emotional vibrational mood, connected to the color. See, if you look through my scripts, you'll see that all my lines, have a special color. So I don't memorize language, I memorize color. This way I can go through red! yellow! green! blue!, and have a full palette, of emotions!"

Sometimes these "heartwarming" stories are a bit too sappy for me but this one is truly interesting...

In 1986, Mikele Mebembe was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from NorthwesternUniversity.
On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed, so Mikele approached it very carefully.

He got down on one knee and inspected the elephant's foot and found a large piece of wood deeply embedded in it. As carefully and as gently as he could, Mikele worked the wood out with his hunting knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot. The elephant turned to face the man, and with a rather curious look on its face, stared at him for several tense moments. Mikele stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being trampled. Eventually the elephant trumpeted loudly, turned, and walked away. Mikele never forgot that elephant or the events of that day.

Twenty years later, Mikele was walking through the
Chicago Zoo with his teenaged son. As they approached the elephant enclosure, one of the creatures turned and walked over to near where Mikele and his son Tapu were standing. The large bull elephant stared at Mikele, lifted its front foot off the ground, then put it down. The elephant did that several times then trumpeted loudly, all the while staring at the man.

Remembering the encounter in 1986, Mikele couldn't help wondering if this was the same elephant. Mikele summoned up his courage, climbed over the railing and made his way into the enclosure. He walked right up to the elephant and stared back in wonder. The elephant trumpeted again, wrapped its trunk around one of Mikele's legs and slammed him against the railing, killing him instantly.

Probably wasn't the same elephant.

As some know by my fascination with Dancing with the Stars .. sometimes I am totally gaye ...

In that vein I love the show "Pushing Daisies" nothing I don't like about it. But the really gaye part just loves how Kristin Chenoweth breaks into song every now and then

http://youtube.com/watch?v=QSuDlYylW74

Not to mention her singing TMBG's "birdhouse in the soul"

But the none gaye in me just loves Kristin Chenoweth because she has a serious rack for someone who is only 4' 10" and we all know Mike loves the sit and spin type!!!!!

Gotta love beer postings!
