Anyone been reading about how gamblers have been approaching tennis players to throw matches? Just read that another ATP pro, Jan Hernych was telephoned and asked if he would "sell" a match at tournaments in Moscow and St. Petersburg, last year. He refused to take the money and ended up winning both matches.
It pretty much started with the Davydenko situation where people were betting heavily on his inferior opponent in a tournament in Poland. Davydenko ended up retiring due to an injury and Betfair suspended any payouts on that match. |

That's okay, Ian.
![]() Although I think you're betting on a losing horse, there. At stumps on day two, Australia had declared at 4 for 551. Clarke scored 145 not out, Hussey 133 and Symonds 53 not out. In reply Sri Lanka is struggling at 2 for 37... |

Sorry for my lack of activity during the past couple of days, folks. I've been sick with a sore throat/headache/blocked and running nose/chest cough since Monday evening Oz time (sore throat started Sunday night). I should be able to get back into the HBF/IBL sometime tomorrow.

We're on the verge of summer over here. Being sick like this when the weather's more hot than cold is no fun at all. |

Man I am feeling my 39 years today. Went to see Chevelle at Headliners Music Club last night. Place only holds 700 so it's a small venue. Kelly and I got there early and got a spot up next to the rail. I spent the whole night with my arms braced against the rail with Kelly in front of me taking a beating from behind, to keep the crowd off of her.
Man am I sore today. |

God, I can't wait for that movie. Been super interested in it since I saw the trailer before Transformers.

Just got back from Springsteen in Boston. My first time in the new Garden and the acoustics are great. I didn't know how good until I noticed how much my ears were ringing on the way home.
My third show of the tour and I think I have one more left in me. Pretty routing tonight except that he played Jungleland, one of my favorites; only the second time he's played it live in the past four years. Also got a fairly obscure tune that I love, Jackson Cage. He's only played that live in the US eight times since the River Tour ended in 1981 and due to fortuitous timing, I've seen it three of those times!
