I'm currently killing time until GTA IV comes out by playing Supreme Commander and Call of Duty 4. I'm pumped for that game as I love pretty much all the rest of the games in the series.

This is my first GTA. It's a lot like some other games in that while it's fun, at some point it breaks down into something nonsensical. Right now I can't move on because I can't control the RC plane to shoot the right targets.

I'm a frikkin gangster, I have automatic weapons, grenades, all sorts of skills . . how about I just shoot them like I have 300 other people in the game?

Nope. Can't do it . . have to fly an RC plane.

Dumb. Just dumb.

Any advice you can give me for the RC plane deal in San Andreas? I must have tried close to 50 times. Right now my left hand hurts from pushing the damn buttons and my right hand is slowly recovering from a slam-on-the-desk episode (after getting four targets out of five before exploding for about the 10th time in a row)

Like most things in this game, there's is probably nothing you can do for me without being here, but I needed to vent a little more about this BS mission. Fortunately, I've seen it called the hardest mission in the whole game, so hopefully I can somehow get through it and move on.

Nope, I have no advice whatsoever. I ended up beating that mission by pretty much getting lucky, those are by far the worse missions in the game. I don't know if you've hit up Gamefaqs.com and checked out their strategy guides for the game but maybe there might be something there that can help you.

Thanks anyway, I figured. I just suck at this part. I'm about 15 years past my prime for "twitch games" and whatever skill or skills you need for this particular mission I never had or don't seem to be able to recultivate.

It's a first edition and I paid $50-60 on ebay for it new a few weeks back, I'm ready to offer it for a nickel right now.

EDIT: having a plane and being outrun by a bicycle (that you know is doing nothing but laps around the same block) is pretty much the height of frustration.

Finally got lucky.

The helicopter deal next doesn't look like it will do much for my piece of mind, either, though.

When all this is done, I'm gonna torture that fool Zero.

Congrats for getting past that mission. The last Zero mission wasn't that bad if I remember correctly.

I hope not . .I'll save it for tomorrow.

I'm chugging along pretty good for a cat who once got a home version of Pong for Christmas.

GTA is like having 30 games in one, so many different things to do. Some of them I'm cool with, others are a real pain. One good thing is when you get pissed, you can just blow stuff away with grenades or a rocket launcher until you perish, then not save it and restart from a previous save.

After his long bout with lung cancer my Grandfather passed tonight. We've seen this coming for the past couple of weeks but you never can fully prepare yourself for the day it actually happens.


*If I have been a bit short lately this is the reason and I am sorry. I'm not sure I have been a jerk on this forum but I know I have on GLB.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It's never easy to deal with this stuff.

My aunt passed 10 days ago after an 8 year battle with an illness. No matter how much you know it is coming and imminent, and that the person is now in a better place, the actual passing is difficult. Best wishes to you and your family in this time of loss.
