Here is a pic that my buddy took from his powerchute of 400 HWY that the Neosho River flooded last week around my house. The drive to my house is located by the two trees by themselves on the right side of the photo. The water is appx. 8' deep (over the hwy) at that point and is 3/8 of a mile from the river. The water you see is spanning 2 miles wide.

Wow - glad you stayed dry! If there is something I can do to help, let me know.

Damn, it's freezing down here in Oz at the moment. We're right in the middle of winter and when I left the house this morning there was a layer of ice on the grass in all the front yards in my street aswell as on the side of my car. had to break out the water and towel and go to work on it.
Even so, I prefer it to the stinking hot middle of summer that we have.

This morning was the coldest in Sydney for 20 years, according to the weather report. 3 degrees celsius on the coast (37.4 F) and zero where I live out west (32 F). I know that's probably not a big deal over in the states, but we ain't used to these types of temperatures. Once again, my car was blanketed with a thin layer of ice and the grass was a frosty white. Fingers aching from the cold.

Here's a map of k_c's homecity. I live in Rooty Hill out in the west (which is located between Parramatta and Penrith, west of Blacktown) but was born and raised in the east, not far from the coast.

Eh, bad couple of weeks for my Tigers since the last update. They lost 34-4 to the 2nd placed Manly Sea Eagles in week eighteen and 28-16 to the New Zealand Warriors on Sunday afternoon.

Their record is now 9-9 and they are clinging to 8th spot. However, there is some good news. Our two best players Benji Marshall and Brett Hodgson will be back for the week twenty clash against the Cowboys. Marshall has been out for twelve weeks with a shoulder injury, Hodgson for seven with a fractured eye socket.

NRL Standings after week nineteen

(Note: each team has had one bye. Figures in brackets are points scored and points conceeded).

1 Melbourne Storm 16-2 (478-207)
2 Manly Sea Eagles 14-4 (434-245)
3 Parramatta Eels 11-7 (407-352)
4 North Queensland Cowboys 10-8 (383-452)
5 Brisbane Broncos 9-9 (391-313)
6 New Zealand Warriors 9-9 (396-327)
7 Canterbury Bulldogs 9-9 (410-366)
8 Wests Tigers 9-9 (386-404)
9 South Sydney Rabbitohs 8-10 (275-283)
10 Gold Coast Titans 8-10 (319-399)
11 Newcastle Knights 8-10 (332-482)
12 Cronulla Sharks 7-11 (328-279)
13 Canberra Raiders 7-11 (405-466)
14 St George Illawarra Dragons 7-11 (321-395)
15 Sydney Roosters 7-11 (296-479)
16 Penrith Panthers 5-13 (357-469)
