Is that from a movie Dan?

Hey, there is a World Cup tourny in OT that I am in (not sure how I was made part of it to begin with, but oh well) - anyway, it's really just a little gag popularity contest.

I am in the second round and I am losing to some baseball-only board member!!! (I won three 'matches' prior to this). We need to strike a blow for the basement!

For any of you that like to stuff ballot boxes, here's the link:

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=151782

I'm not trying to inflluence the vote or tell anyone what to do for the record. (Just in case the elections board is watching)

I voted for you, Chris!

If you want to know more about what that poster relates to visit wikipedia or google (or imdb.com) and search for Cloverfield.

I saw the trailer for Cloverfield when I saw Transformers and I'm pumped for that movie. It's been awhile since we've had a good monster wrecking stuff kind of movie.

I also dropped a vote for ya Chris in that poll. We won't let no Baseball only cat take out a Basement member.

Nice work basement dwellers! I'd say that someone might get bent out of shape over this, but these baseball-only folks never look into our little hole in the wall.

HUGE win last night for my Tigers. They defeated the North Queensland Cowboys 54-10 to move up to 7th place in the standings. The effect that the return of key playmakers Benji Marshall and Brett Hodgson had on the rest of the team was clear to see as the Tigers played with more enthusiasm and passion than they have for a number of weeks.

Having been filing in at halfback for Marshall in recent weeks, Robbie Farah was able to return to his usual and favoured position of hooker (pretty much the team quarterback and organiser on offense). He produced a man of the match performance, scoring one of the Tigers' ten tries and being directly involved in the lead-up to five others.

The Tigers are now 10-9 and with their remaining five games all against teams outside of the top eight, they have a great chance of pushing for a top four finish.

That's excellent. I prefer the ellectorate to be ill-informed as to the issues and just vote based the color of my tie.

Thanks!

Got my vote in and I must say that is a very spiffy tie you're wearing.

Just had my first experience swinging a golfclub. My boss and a co-worker invited me to go to the local club with them and go on the driving range.

I had played miniature golf when I was younger but had never actually swung an iron or a driver before. They said I was pretty good for a beginner (I was hitting the ball more cleanly and longer than my co-worker was) but I had a feeling that I might be because I'm a pretty capable batter in cricket and baseball.

It was a lot of fun and it was free, which sweetened the deal a lot. It's something I've always wanted to do and now that I've gotten a taste of it, I'll certainly try it again sometime.

I remember the first time I went golfing. I took ten swings, hit nothing but air, and said screw it. I never was any good at sports that required you to hit balls with a bat or club.

At the mature age of 31 I've come to the conclusion that the best thing that comes from the U.S is without a doubt...Dr.Pepper!!!

I've liked Dr.Pepper since I first tasted it when I was about 13 years old. Sad to say there aren't that many supermarkets around that has this nectar from the skies. The fact that I'm one of ten people in Sweden that actually enjoys this beverage might have something to do with it.

If Dr. Pepper was a woman, I would marry her.

I play about once every other week. I was pretty good back in high-school and college and then didn't play for 10 years. This is the first summer I've gotten out on a regular basis. I was shooting 54 for 9 holes at the beginning of the summer and now I'm breaking 50 regularly. My goal is to be to bogie golf by next summer and play once a week next year (every other week this year)

Dr. Pepper rocks ... I used to like Mr. Pibb until I found out they used prune juice, then for some reason it just didn't taste as good anymore. My nectar of the gods comes in a can that says "Coors Light" on the outside of it and contains pure heavenly goodness on the inside.

When I was in Kosovo, my partner and I tried a new soda every time we visited the american camps and the american px at KFOR HQ. I 've tried several american sodas and I enjoyed most of them. One that I can't stand though is a soda (can't remember the name right now) that tastes like carbonated cream.
